We requested an ADA accessible room and that request was confirmed by the resort. Unfortunately, the room we were placed in was not ADA accessible. The room we ultimately stayed in was the second one they assigned us to...the first one was upstairs. This was very disappointing as this trip was very special for my 90-year-old dad.
I was not that impressed with our accommodations. I expected more for a 4-star resort. Our room was very average...much like a 2 or 3 star place. It was clean. The gentleman that checked us in did not know basic information about the village (that is in the resort property) or information I asked about the road to Bachelor that is also in the property. Not very impressive beginning to our special weekend and a sign that they may have a four-star rating but they have a 2-3 star practice.
Besides not having an ADA accessible room, the outside lighting and signage is poor so make sure you arrive in daylight hours. The fridge is very small and does not have a freezer compartment. The fireplace was nice but turns off after 15-20 minutes. There were stairs to get to the room (more ADA compliance problems). We did not try the restaurant due to the cost of meals.
The grounds are nice for walking...with paved pathways (ADA accessible) that wind amongst the trees and golf course areas. We did not use the pools, hot tub, or any other amenities. We did enjoy the Bend area and the Cascade Lakes Scenic Highway drive.
