The hotel itself was very nice, well cleaned and maintained. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The bar, on the other hand, which might be managed by a different company, I'm not sure, was not very friendly (nary a smile to be seen) nor knowledgeable when asked a simple question like "how much will these 2 drinks come to?", the answer was "I don't know until I ring it up", and walk away. They were NOT busy when we were there, they were inclined to walk away and ignore us. The bill came with sugar syrup smeared all over the back of the clipboard, which ended up making for quite a mess, which the staff ignored and we cleaned up ourselves with bar napkins. No concept of customer satisfaction. We were dressed nicely for New Year's Eve but they still treated us as if we were bothering them. As if their job was puttering around behind the bar, but not waiting on customers.

The cleanliness, style, and friendliness of all the staff inside the hotel was amazing. I was blown away from check-in to check-out during my stay and would happily go back to this hotel again should I visit Portland again!

Beautiful layout. Very spacious, lot's of windows, Great view! Self parking across the street and all the one way traffic, bike lanes and TriMet make the location somewhat challenging.

The valet attendants appeared not to notice us when we arrived. Haven’t had that problem before. After that though, the staff was wonderful and checking in and out was a breeze. I can’t give a full review as due to Covid many of the hotel’s amenities were not available. It’s a beautiful hotel however and appeared very clean. We were going to an event at the Moda Center, which was in walking distance and felt safe, even walking home at close to midnight. I would stay there again if coming up to Portland for an event and hopefully get to stay longer.
