"People were eating in the hot tub . Room service is more like door dash- cold and comes in styrofoam boxes and a big paper bag. Lovely grounds ! Pool experience was disappointing but villas were nice and grounds beautiful. The Pinot Gris is delicious "

"We stayed for one night, and overall the experience was just okay. When we first entered the room, we noticed a large puddle of water on the floor between the toilet and the bathtub. At first, we were concerned it might be a leak. Maintenance was sent up, and they suggested it could have been from cleaning, saying perhaps too much water was used and it hadn’t dried yet. Later, after using the shower, we realized the puddle formed again if the shower curtain wasn’t fully inside the tub. However, what raised more concern was finding a used towel hanging behind the door, which made it seem like the bathroom may not have been properly cleaned before our arrival. Additionally, the TV only had basic cable—there were no streaming options like Netflix, which was disappointing and felt outdated. Overall, the stay was average, but the cleanliness issues and lack of modern amenities made it less enjoyable. It definitely felt more like a motel than a hotel. "

"I had a very disappointing experience at Hyatt Place (San Diego/Vista-Carlsbad). We stayed here for 5 days, and throughout our entire stay, housekeeping never cleaned our room—not even once. Let alone changing linen, they didn’t even take out trash,nor refilled shampoos nor toilet papers. We had to repeatedly request basic necessities like towels, toilet papers every time. There are no instructions about how to reach to front desk, but had their onsite restaurant ads. We had to call Hyatt customer service and front desk didn’t respond even to that. What made the situation worse was the complete lack of accountability and care from management. I tried reaching out to the Assistant General Manager, Carol Requena, multiple times regarding these issues, but received no response. When I finally spoke with her in person at the front desk, her attitude was dismissive—no apology, no effort to resolve the issue, just “what can I do?” This level of indifference is shocking. The lady at the front desk when we checked out was more courteous, acknowledged the problems, also delivered towels to our room herself. Staff at the breakfast are working hard but understaffed for the rush. Based on this experience, I would strongly not recommend this hotel, especially for families looking for a comfortable and well-serviced stay. There is a clear lack of responsibility, accountability, and basic customer care. Just looking at the brand I didn’t even research on the reviews ahead thoroughly."

"My family and I stayed here 10 days for vacation. First I want to say this is one of the immaculately cleanest hotels we have ever stayed and we have been a lot of places around the world. The cleaning crew was always cleaning something. The pool, hallways and outside was cleaned everyday. You can tell they take care of this hotel. The breakfast was good. They do omelets with ham, spinach, cheese etc. you can get to-go trays if needed. They have a free coffee bar and a little store if you forget anything. There’s a 711 and stores close in walking distance. Amusement parks like sea world and Belmont are about 40 min. They have beautiful views and just a great place to stay. The staff are amazing, want to give a shout of to Nadia, Perla, Kelly, Isaiah, and Mark for being outstanding in customer service and always having a smile when asked for something. And thank you Mr. Holmes for making our stay comfortable. Give this a 10 all the way around and we will be staying at more of your properties when we return☺️"
