"Great place for a small convention"
This was the perfect facility for a 500 participant convention. The facility was clean with an upscale ambience, but the staff was so friendly and approachable that it felt comfortable and casual. The atmosphere was a little tropical so it felt like a vacation rather than just a conference. The only inconvenience I experienced was in trying to get breakfast from the marketplace, where they really weren't staffed to support grab and go drinks/snacks/meals for a couple of hundred people.

We were only in the area for a few days but were able to take in many sights around the area. The hotel was in a great location for everything. The staff was great, very helpful, courteous ~ an excellent experience. We had a loud neighbor to our room which the hotel Security staff tended to promptly. Thank you very much for a great stay

"What you would expect for the price"
Excellent place to stay. Overall the experience was very good. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. The desk staff was professional and courteous. The bed was comfortable, pillows were a mix of hard and soft. Room was clean and spacious with the right furniture. The air conditioning was functional and kept the room comfortable but there was a little noise associated with it but nothing intolerable. The bathroom was good, large, and well maintained although the shower had the usual weak stream but that is normal in a drought prone area like California. Towels were not the softest but not bad either. Television was good enough although it did take an instruction sheet to know how to use the two remote controls. The restaurant is fantastic and served a very good dinner and a wonderful breakfast.

"Beautiful hotel"
Really nice hotel and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I ended up with a handicap access room. If I had to mention anything that could improve it would be..not to put the clean towels on the shower seat provided for a handicapped person. Why would anyone want a clean towel on a bench someone sits on? Especially naked! Hang them up or provide a cubby hole or bin.WiFi was weak in my room too. Otherwise good hotel.

"Comfortable hotel close to the beach"
I have stayed at this hotel multiple times over the last ten years. I have traveled a lot and this is my favorite hotel to visit when I need a break from all the noise and stress of the world. For me, there are few things more calming than watching the sunset over Catalina from the balcony of one of this hotel's second floor rooms. And the beach is just a few steps away. The rooms are always clean, and I appreciate the fact that the decor is soothing and uncluttered, it makes for a very calming visit. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. This is a small hotel, and does not offer the amenities that the larger hotels can offer, like room service or a full breakfast buffet, but there are plenty of places in Laguna to eat and I am happy to trade those things for the charm and quiet of this little gem of a hotel and the care and friendliness of its staff.

"Budget-friendly inn with short walk to beach"
Everything about our stay was wonderful! Great value for a great price! The free trolley is just steps away from the lobby and very convenient to everything you would want to do in Laguna Beach. The short walk to the beach is a sightseeing bonus of beautiful plants and lovely beachside homes. Herschel and his staff are friendly and attentive. Don't be fooled by the outside of the buildings. They are well maintained but not posh or eye-catching and the outside doesn't match the high quality of the rooms, furnishings, and decor. The breakfast room provides all of the usual morning fare with the added bonus of a make-it-yourself waffle station. Overall, if you are looking for a clean, comfortable, and convenient place to stay in Laguna Beach that is affordable and leaves room in your travel budget for tickets to the Pageant of the Masters and dinners at the amazing restaurants, then this is definitely the place for you!

"Nicely renovated hotel"
BLVD was a nicely renovated hotel - cool look, clean rooms. Pros: Nice and clean, nicely appointed, microwave, fridge, comfortable bed and really good wifi. I liked the look of the bare floors. Really friendly staff. Right off the freeway, easy access. Nice small pool area. Cons: There were some holdovers from previous ownership, especially in the bathroom if you are looking at baseboard tile and how it meets/connects with the wall - that sort of minor thing. You can also really hear it when people exit the doors to either side of your room (loud door slams). But we only noticed that when we were getting ready to leave ourselves.
