It ain't the four seasons

Pros: Front desk staff
Cons: The tired look of the place
Location: Good restaurants and shopping
An economy accommodation in good location with a good front desk staff. The whole place needs freshening, paint, carpets, etc. I suspect the kitchen facilities are an amenity of marginal value to most guests. Be careful of the free bikes, the one I used was way past its useful life. Also, be aware prices in Hawaii are astonishing higher than on the main land. Plan your trip with that in mind.

Never again!

There is mold all over the place; the room the halls, the entire building. Several times at night, as soon as the lights went on, we could see bugs lurking all over our stuff. The pictures from Travelocity are not accurate to the reality of this hotel.

Low budget hotel-.

Trouble checking in. They misspelled my last name and it took over an hour; even showed them my confirmation number. A real hassle. Low budget hotel.

Caution

Watch out for hidden fees. They charge $20 a night for Internet, and there's no coffee in the rooms. Also, daily room servicing is only by request. My room smelled terrible.

Our amenity fees include more than just the Internet, and are also advertised ahead of time on all websites. In addition, we do offer daily room service. However, towel changes & bed sheet changes are on request in order to save water and be more environmentally friendly. Cheap hotel - DON'T do it!

Ok so admittedly, I booked this place trying to save money. I only needed a hotel for 2 nights and then would be staying with friends. There is really nothing nice about this place. It's a total low budget hotel in every way possible. In fact, every time I left the room, I was scared that someone was going to break in. The rooms are accessible from the outside of the building so anyone can walk up the stairs without going through any type of keyed doors. As far as the room goes, it was awful. Old carpet, peeling paint, old furniture, everything in there was outdated except the tv. The place is in serious need of major renovations. Again though, it's an old budget hotel, and I knew that going in. I just didn't think it would be that bad. So my advice is to spend an extra $50-100 a night and get yourself a decent room at a nicer place. DON'T cheap out on this place. I know it is tempting to try to save money because hotels are expensive, but don't fall into that trap. You'll regret it.
