The hotel building is old but still nice looking, attendant and other employees are very polite and helpful, maybe they need to change or update some of the furniture inside the room like the sofa, but everything else is good, will definitely comeback again.

I like the spacious room, the location and the service were excellent, but the room needs updating. The bed was very uncomfortable and there was a dingy smell in the room. Not sure if it was coming from the carpet or the ceiling or the air conditioner. It smell of a wet dog.

Rooms are equipped with pretty much everything to stay in and prepare meals. This makes things more affordable as Waikiki is expensive. Walkable to convenience stores and coffee. The property is old but was in decent condition. Communication was lacking as we placed a call to housekeeping with no response.

Property is closer to the Diamond Head & a bit remote from main WAikiki tourist area. Room rate is reasonable for budget traveler . Hotel has seen its age & room accommodation are old but is clean . Front desk are friendly & efficient . Nice size swimming pool . Coin operate BBQ grill rental is a unique feature at $2.00 an hour !

The rooms are spacious but very old and poorly laid out. The hotel has not been renovated since being built in the 60s.

We just needed a comfortable spot to sleep after our full day of adventures. We should of had 2 beds & a pull out sofa. How disappointing to only have one bed & one (both very uncomfortable sofa) The room was definitely dated & had limited outlets. The bathroom made it impossible for 3 adult women to get ready. The rest of the place had a lack of mirrors & lighting!

When my bags were delivered by the airport service to the wrong hotel, front desk staff was very helpful when I went down at 3:00 a.m. to figure out the problem. However, the receiving hotel contacted you to let you know where my bags were but no one contacted me until I asked at the front desk.

This property was a quick two block walk to the beach. Room was clean and cleaned daily. The front desk were fantastic and helpful. If your seeking an inexpensive, clean, beach proximity and friendly staff, I would recommend.

I like how everything is close by and i love how the beach is walkable, especially it includes towels. The only thing i didn’t like was to find parking because i had a big suv. Everything is else is perfect.

Will never stay anywhere else!
We have stayed at the Waikiki Banyan resort previously and loved the property, so we chose to stay there again. We were not disappointed! The elevators take forever, but that is the only downside. The rooms are large and comfortable, walking distance to the beach (6 mins!), full kitchen so we saved some money. We have nothing but good things to say! Waikiki Banyan is our home when we visit Honolulu and always will be.

The rooms are a little outdated but very spacious for a family of 4-5. I love the dining table with chairs and having a full kitchen is very convenient. The only tricky part is finding the entrance to the parking garage. Other than that, I would definitely stay here again.
