I think the hotel needs fresh upgrades especially in the rooms. While the room was clean in no way was it worth $200 a night. There were cracks in the bathtub and wallpaper coming off and small repairs that needed to be done.

Understaffed. Waited for attention too long at checkin and dinner. Some aspects clean and apparently newly renovated, others rusty, dated. For example, new shower/tub combo in the bath but rusty light switch and shower faucet plumbed backwards (hot is cold on dial). Also pretty noisy.

My stay

the bed was hard as a rock could not sleep because of all the noise in the hotel it was just a terrible stay. And I've never had issues at the hotel before this was the first time and it will be the last time. maybe it was just an isolated incident but the bed was absolutely terrible

The check in experience is weird. You have to go up this very odd ramp to get to the main lobby. They good luck finding a rolling cart for your luggage. Aside from this entrance there are steps at all the others. Anyone that would struggle with steps this wouldn't be a good place to stay. I did see a very few handicap spots in the ramp. Next the outside of the building is very dated and run down looking. The inside is much nicer than I expected. The room was fair a little small but OK. The beds are uncomfortable. We went to the restaurant in the lobby for breakfast and the waiter was VERY rude, mumbling under his breath about the customers, he was very disgruntled. The food was good but we couldn't really enjoy it. My room wasn't cleaned while I was there. However they did knock on the door both morning The first morning at 8:15 saying they thought we checked out. The second morning at 9:15 and when we said we were sleeping the person proceeded to try to open the door with their master key. My fiancé slammed it shut and yelled we are sleeping. I have never had a worse experience at a hotel. I would NEVER stay here again and I recommend you keep looking for another place. At the price we paid per night this was unacceptable. Very disappointing!!

Easy walk to town center: dining, theaters, mall

Wanted a reasonably priced place to stay, walkable to the great variety of restaurants in downtown. It also was very close to the Wells Theatre and the downtown Mall (including a movie theater). Walked everywhere!
