Lawrence, our guests do love our tranquil and idyllic location away from the crowded Boardwalk where you can enjoy a semi-private beach experience. While we are on older property here in the North End, our team works diligently to ensure guests' rooms are clean and inviting and we do use the off season to work on repairs and upgrades. Hopefully, you enjoyed the amazing views from your oceanside private balcony or while dining at our onsite restaurant. We are glad your overall experience was excellent, and we do hope you will visit us again in the future.

I like this hotel because it is pet friendly, ocean front rooms, decently clean, and a private beach away from the main drag. Its nice to have a hotel restaurant but its not close to downtown you would need to use the hotel shuttle or drive. But me and pup loved it.

Shout out to the staff and the cleaning lady. Thank you for all you do. The Room was clean and neat. The elevators are horrible the doors barely open and when they do it's slow. The floor when getting out of the elevator smelled awful. The balcony was dirty and stained. We killed a roach in the bathroom. A ROACH‼️ The hotels makes plenty of money and needs to pour some of it into renovations. Let's not talk about parking. I do like that it's on its own part of the beach and when the rest of the beaches in chaos their part is nice calm and clean. That I appreciate. Use some of that money you're getting to fix what really could be a beautiful hotel experience.

Thank you for recognizing the hard work of our staff and housekeeping department. They all have been working tremendously hard throughout the summer busy season to help make our guests comfortable and provide them with all that they need to have a relaxing beach vacation. We are truly sorry for the slow elevator which we are trying to get rectified by a qualified service company. Hopefully that will be taken care of soon. There is no excuse for quality issues and odor at the hotel and for that we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that you may have had during your vacation with your family. We do have plans to do some renovations during the upcoming slow season in order to rectify and improve our hotel rooms and grounds. We appreciate your patience while we make these enhancements soon. Hopefully the rest of your time here at the oceanfront was pleasant and you all had fun exploring our coastal area.

While we are an older hotel, we are in the tranquil section of the oceanfront, away from the crowds, with plenty of opportunity to relax and recharge. We offer easy beach access, a convenient and delicious onsite restaurant, complimentary Wi-Fi access and free parking. Hopefully, you had the chance to unwind in our heated indoor pool and hot tub after a busy day and slept comfortably in your spacious guest room. Thank you and we do hope you will keep us in your travel plans in the future. We do plan to make some upgrades and renovations this upcoming winter and hope you’ll come back to see them.

The restaurant was handy, but understaffed. The team did the best they could but the demands on the bar impacted their ability to serve other folks. The dog friendly atmosphere was welcoming.

Thank you for visiting our onsite restaurant, the Surf Club Ocean Grille, which has fabulous views of the ocean, live music, and the option of indoor and outdoor seating. Hopefully, you had the opportunity to watch an Atlantic Ocean sunrise and enjoyed watching the dolphins splashing around in the water from many of the ocean views around the hotel. Wonderful, Edward, and thank you for your perfect review score of our oceanfront property. Guests enjoy our location here in the North End of Virginia Beach away from the hustle and bustle of the Boardwalk but still close enough to access great shopping and dining options. Our semi-private beach also provides a quiet and family friendly atmosphere. We hope you also had the opportunity to dine with us at our onsite restaurant, which is also a big hit with the locals, and found convenience with the many amenities we provide. It would be our honor to host you again in the future. Thank you!

Our checking was awful. We arrived early asked if we could check in was told rooms were not ready. So my family and I went and found stuff to do. We do have a 9 month old and it does get hard to entertain him for long. Around 3:35 I came back in the lobby and asked if the room was ready was told no and only after 4 it would be ready. As I walked out I herd the two woman whisper something and laugh. Came back little after 4:00 pm manager Dawn Wheeler said room is still not ready. Now my baby had been travelling all day and needed to be change and fed as well as a nap. Came back to the desk 4:10 was told someone is inspecting the room it should be ready soon. Around 4:30 room was still being inspected. 4:35 finally got keys to go to our room. The king bed was damp, the 2 queen beds were dirty full of white powered stuff and sticky I’m sure bodily fluids. Called front desk to ask for house keeping to come up and change sheets girl at the desk hung up on me. 10 minutes later house keeping showed up changes beds. Finally I called back and asked to speak to the supervisor I was told he would only be back on the day we were supposed to check out. His name Glen Palmer. One bathroom the knob was complete off shower would not work also dries blood was all over. Later that night as I was changing my baby and moved the sheet on the kind size bed giant black bug started to crawl towards him. We went to an Airbnb and were told they could not refund us. This whole time no apology.

The people in the room next to me had a dog that barked nonstop all afternoon and first thing in the morning, with loud talking and music until 2 am. I understand this place is pet friendly. But I don't understand putting a person without a dog in a room in the middle of two rooms with their dog. After several complaints, the staff did nothing to remedy the situation.
