Just an overall great experience....from bath with shower force and towels to bedding to coffee display in lobby. History is a plus. The food items are disappointing at bar and restaurant. Need to be more mainstream. Have stayed multiple times and will continue to stay but will dine off property

Ceiling air conditioner directed constant stream of cool to cold air directly onto bed making one side nearly useless. Bedding arrangement of single duvet made it impossible to balance protection against the gale from the ceiling. Front desk did discount us for the inconvenience, but the situation needs to be addressed in my opinion. Otherwise stay was great.

It’s just very unusual hotel because of its original build in the 1800s which I went to a college in Bristol Virginia that was built 11 years before this hotel and I actually met a person there staying there that was from BRISTOLL Virginia. Also in their family reunion, someone was from Hawaii and surprise surprise. My college friend from Hawaii had been traveling in Europe, but Our friend in Richmond informed her about the wedding and so low and behold, she steps out of the van when they come to pick me up to go to the wedding. The staff is exceptional. They go out of their way to make sure everybody is having a good time. Do they need anything just to stand around and have a conversation while they are waiting to help somebody that comes to their area. It’s definitely a place I will be going back to.

I went to Richmond to a wedding, and my girlfriend told me that the Jefferson was the hotel to stay in so I did and I also booked a room for the bride and groom. The food was fantastic. The people there staying were kind hearted and I met and talked to a lot of them found out weird things in common. The staff is exceptional. We had a group after the wedding the following day and the food for breakfast was wonderful.
