Beautiful, spacious room. Very comfy bed, lots of pillows. Settee we moved in front of the wall of floor-to-ceiling windows to take in the great view. Up on the 12th floor, it was quiet. Great shower, nice products (shampoo, lotion, body wash), adequate storage, minifridge, coffee and tea, coat hooks, desk and chair. All in all a really good stay. Staff were kind and helpful, lobby is comfortable with different places to sit and chat or enjoy an espresso. Location was perfect for our time on the Lower East Side. Recommended!

Wow! This place is a dream. We had a superior king room with city views and it was absolutely stunning. Pics don’t do it justice. The staff was wonderful, perfect location, and I can’t believe how good the rate was. The lobby design is incredible as well. All around well thought out aesthetics and excellent execution. Can’t wait to stay here again.

I want to rate this hotel much higher as the staff was super helpful and friendly, the rooms and the entire hotel were spotlessly clean, and their rates are very reasonable for the great location. However, the pillow were some of the worst I have ever slept on. There is not enough Advil in Manhattan to fix my wife's and my neck from the unmerciful beating they took on those truly awful pillows. If the Merchant upgraded their pillows I would happily stay again and upgrade my review.

Great, clean aesthetically pleasing room with views. Great rooftop bar and coffee bar in lobby. Can get noisy, especially at night. Issues with noisy neighbors and street noise. If you can get past that highly recommended. Walkable to subway,Soho and other nearby Burroughs.

This was a great stay! The Merchant is within walking distance to tons of amazing bars and restaurants, and to the subway. Staff were super friendly, and the room was spacious and immaculate! We’ll definitely be staying again
