Party palace

Pros: Room and bathroom are large and roomy for Manhattan, and the staff are friendly and low key.
Cons: Not certain how the noise from evening events could be eliminated, but it will keep me from returning to th Flatiron in the future.
Location: Great location in Chelsea: walk to many restaurants, parks, theater!
This good-looking hotel disappointed in many ways: it was not clear to me from their website or ads that the Flatiron is an event site that hosts extremely loud parties in the bar and mezzanine each week-end night, until 1:00 am or later. The din was unbearable in my 4th floor room, and since I travel to Manhattan to work on both week-end days, I would not stay at the Flatiron again. In addition, the tub did not drain, the cooling did not work (heat did work), the bathroom tv did not work, and the door lock was inoperable on the second evening, meaning that I was locked out of my room while the maintenance guy worked on it for around half an hour. The staff are all really nice, however, were apologetic about the problems, and eliminated my room activity fee (around $20 per night) because of the noise.

Attentive Staff, thanks Flatiron!

Pros: Wonderful location, you can walk to Eataly, John Dory, Madison Park.
Cons: They had entertainment every night, it seemed I was leaving when it started and was over when I returned. A fun addition to the hotel if you stay in!
Location: Great shopping, great restaurants, great access via subway or cabs!
Great location, really nice room and staff. I arrived at noon and dropped my bag, but by the time I returned from lunch they had my room ready. I am used to having to turn sideways to move around New York hotel rooms but I felt comfortable spending time there. The beds are comfortable.

Comforting stay during the 2016 Blizzard!

Pros: Location.
Cons: The front desk area. They personally escorted you to your room and engaged in all the transaction in there. That was a bit disconcerting.
Location: Good location, near Madison Square Park, Eataly and several subway lines at 23rd Street.
Given the circumstances of the weather, our stay at this hotel was comforting. The staff was generous with their time and attention despite the fact that they were unsure whether they would be able to get out before the travel ban went into effect. Nearly all the businesses in the area closed, except for the restaurant across the street and a 7/11 around the corner. Our room was small, but comfortable. We loved the location and once the snow stopped, we were able to go out with ease.

Greeted by awesome Angel with champagne!

Pros: staff was awesome! great central location.
Cons: nothing - it was great!
Location: Very central location - walked everywhere - uptown, downtown and mid-town.
We were greeted by Angel at the front with a glass of champagne. He checked us in and escorted us to our room. The hotel was clean, fresh and vibrant! Our room was exactly what we expected - end of the hall, two queen beds, nice size bathroom and plenty of space. Other notable experiences were with staff members Leo, Juan and Jason - all were so helpful, accommodating and service oriented. I would recommend this hotel for anyone!!!

Nice and stylish, weak amenities = not a four star hotel

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet
Cons: Noisy
The room is nice and stylish. The lobby is pleasant. The location is fantastic. Cleanliness is A, maintenance is A- due to an overly complicated "shower wall" with a few broken pieces I may stay again because of location and value, but not a sure thing: - minibar was not replenished from the PREVIOUS guest, let alone my own consumption - can't even tell if there's room service as the info binder is empty - TV - unbelievably - has sub-par satellite reception and NO on-demand video. satellite TV is not a real option today. - there always seems to be a band playing in the lobby lounge, which makes checkin a shouted affair Notes to the GM: - invest in on-demand. it's a money mill and a great service for busy travellers. this is a big miss - room service, hello? are we allergic to profit here?

Staff was very friendly and went out of the way to accommodate their guest.

Pros: Free Internet
The is great live entertainment every night in the restaurant/bar. State of the art rooms with remote blinds, although I could not figure out how to turn off the program that opened them each morning. No matter I just closed them with a click of the button from the bed. jacuzzi tub in my room. My friend had a wonderful rain shower. We were on a lower floor so you could hear the subway and the entertainment but it was muffled and it did not bother me.

Good location, if you like pop music

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet
Cons: Noisy
If you want to visit Manhattan, this is a great location to stay. The room was nice and the bed comfortable. The main drawback is noise. The hotel is on the upper levels of the Toshi lounge, where there was live music every day my family was there (Thursday-Saturday). We even heard it on the 8th floor! Fortunately, we were so tired from touring around the city that it didn't bother our sleep too much.
