Steps to Endymion and Zulu Parades during Mardi Gras!
North of the noise and saturated color of the Quarter is a New Orleans neighborhood that’s perfected the art of living. “Welcome to Mid-City,” read the signs on the neutral ground. And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Buttermilk biscuits. Live music. A bowl of Vietnamese pho. Who wouldn’t want to visit? Eat. Drink. Get up here. If you have any questions about the neighborhood, please send us a message!
You will have full access to: • Entire upper-level 2BR unit • Living room + full kitchen • 1 bathroom + laundry room • Private balcony • Fast Wi-Fi + Smart TV
★ Quiet, comfy, and had everything we needed, amazing value!
Please note: unit is above a tiny laundromat (no walk-ins), so light daytime vibration/noise may be felt between 9 AM–5 PM.
Settle into the rhythm of New Orleans from a beautifully renovated upper-level unit in the heart of Mid-City. Step out onto your private balcony with a cup of coffee as the morning light filters through the neighborhood, then spend your days exploring one of America's most culturally rich cities - returning each evening to a space that feels equal parts historic and comfortably lived-in.
Living space The living room is warm and inviting, anchored by a 50-inch HDTV with Netflix and Roku for easy evening unwinding. A dedicated workspace with a door and fast Wi-Fi means you can stay on top of things if the trip calls for it, without sacrificing your sense of being away. Ceiling fans, central A/C, and central heating keep the space comfortable year-round.
Sleeping arrangements Two bedrooms sleep up to 4 guests across 2 beds, each dressed in plush linens with room-darkening shades to help you sleep in after a late night on Frenchmen Street. Hangers, clothing storage, and a safe are all provided, so you can settle in properly rather than living out of a suitcase.
Kitchen & dining The kitchen is genuinely well-equipped for those who want to cook. You'll find a GE gas stove, GE single oven, Maytag refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, drip coffee maker, baking sheet, and a full set of dishes and silverware. Cooking basics - oil, salt, pepper, pots and pans - are already stocked. Pull up a chair at the dining area, or take your plate out to the balcony for a proper New Orleans experience.
Bathroom The bathroom includes a bathtub, shower gel, and Ecorite shampoo, conditioner, and body soap, along with a hair dryer and cleaning products. Towels and toilet paper are provided.
Outdoor & extras The private balcony is furnished for outdoor sitting - ideal for a glass of wine as the neighborhood comes to life in the evenings. The unit also includes a washer and dryer in-unit, iron, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, and exterior security cameras (in place to ensure the property stays within its 4-guest limit). Self check-in is available via smart lock. Free street parking is available nearby, and a laundromat is also close by. The property is pet-friendly, so your furry companion is welcome. Families can request a pack 'n play (sheets included) and a folding high chair with padding, straps, and food tray - babysitter recommendations are also available on request.
Location The Canal Streetcar stop is just steps away, putting the French Quarter, Mardi Gras parade routes, the Lafitte Greenway, local cafés, po'boy spots, and live music venues within easy reach. Mid-City has a relaxed, neighborhood feel while keeping you genuinely connected to everything that makes New Orleans worth the trip.

From arrival to departure our stay was an excellent experience. This Mid-City home was the perfect location to enjoy everything from the French Quarter, Garden District, etc, plus the local Mid-City restaurants and Trader Joe's. It was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Not to mention the wonderful host who was a great communicator and attentive! Highly recommend!
Great little upper level unit with comfy beds. Easy to navigate car to the Quarter. Never struggled to find parking. Kitchen is a little sparse, but why cook when you have so many delicious restaurants to choose from?
The unit was clean and beds were very comfortable. The kitchen needs to be stocked better. I think there was 10 total eating utensils. Also the toilet seat was broken. The laundry on the main floor shakes the unit when the spin cycle is running. Also, the laundry below felt like it drained the hot water so ran out of hot water frequently.
