Don't be fooled by the pictures!

Pros: Absolutely nothing.
Cons: Bulldoze the building and start over.
Check in was quick. Our first room was humid as the air conditioner was not running when we entered the room. The bathroom sink is separate from the toilet/shower, which was odd but not a show stopper. However, during the night, a noise that sounded like a banging or rubbing of a fan began at 1 AM and continued until morning. The next morning, I approached the desk and ask for another room. I was given another room two doors down and was immediately repulsed by a smell and even more humid than the first room. I turned on the air conditioner in the hopes that the ventilation system could remediate both issues. After returning from a meal, the room had not cooled to a satisfactory level and the smell was still present. I booked this hotel for 3 nights as part of a package and I did not opt for insurance, so I had to forfeit my payment, but this was preferable than staying at this hotel that has no business advertising itself as a 3-star hotel. I would give it a 1-star motel rating.

Close to the airport, but...

For a hotel that is a stone's throw away from the airport, you'd think the hotel would do a better job at up keep. We were sadly disappointed to see how worn and dingy many parts of this hotel is. The lobby desk looks nice and modern, but closer look at the carpet and furnishings tells a different story. The carpet and arm chairs need a deep cleaning to remove years of wear and tear. Walking through the halls to our room wasn't bad, but a few touches of paint on doors and walls, and adjustments to door seals doesn't seem so difficult to make this old hotel a bit more appealing. There are ceiling tiles with dark water spots that could also be easily replaced. The room itself was ok. It would help if the housekeepers left the fan on so that the room didn't feel so stuffy and smell old. Again, a few touches of paint on the worn out doors and walls would help disguise how run down the hotel is becoming. The wall paper is pealing in places, the ceiling and floor in the bathroom has signs of mold. The rust stains and chips in the bathtub discouraged me from indulging in a long bath that I was looking forward to from a long trip to Ontario. Thankfully we didn't have to stay at this hotel for long because it's good for a cheap quick stay. The only good thing I can say about this hotel is that the man that checked us in at the lobby on the night we came in was pleasant. The beds were also comfortable for the Travelocity deal that we found but we'll look elsewhere next time.

Dear Travel Mom, Thank you for taking the time to complete our guest satisfaction survey. On behalf of our entire staff at Radisson we apologize for the concerns you shared about your experience at this hotel. I have addressed with housekeeping and maintenance the standards at which all our guest rooms should be before assigning our valued guests. As you noted some areas of the Hotel have been upgraded in appearance and conditions. We have been working in the past several weeks since I have arrived at the property to make changes in the areas that are experiencing the signs of age. Our property is scheduled to be updated this year and look forward to the changes that we will be making for 2017. We appreciate the feedback and will use it to fine tune our operations in the hope that upon your next visit we can exceed your expectations. Sincerely, Michael Ward General Manager Radisson Hotel Ontario Airport

Travelocity preferences mean little to hotel staff

Pros: As I stated, toiletries provided are great and loved the shower. Hotel was inexpensive. Cleaning staff was super friendly. They have a great gym.
Cons: Made request for close rooms and didn't get them or king beds initially. Rooms don't smell fresh. Bed was ultra firm. Hard might be too harsh.
Location: Location is remote. I would guess that if you're staying here you have something going on at the Convention Center across the street.
I arrived at the hotel at 2:44 having been told that check-in was at 3p. I had requested two rooms close together but not adjoining. The young woman at the front desk informed me that the rooms were not ready and that I would need to wait. So, at 3p I returned to the front desk and was told again that the rooms were not ready. Please keep in mind that this was not super busy hotel or time of day. I was one of two people in the lobby. I told the gentleman at the front desk to give me whatever he had that was reasonably close together. He gave me two room keys and I was on my way. I gave one key to my father and told him where his room was and went to my room. One of my room keys didn't work so I tried the other and it did. My father came to my room when his room keys didn't work. I tried to call the front desk from the room phone but it didn't work. Also, I had requested king beds and didn't get them. Two minutes later I was back at the from desk for the third time. I said that I had requested king beds when I booked the rooms and dad's room keys didn't work. The young lady was helping me again and she said that anyone who books via third party site should know that your request is only a request; you may not get what you want. She gave me two new keys. Didn't spend much time in the rooms from then on. Showers are great. Love the toiletries provided. Bed was harsh. Dad's room didn't have a single chair. The room was inexpensive but not inexpensive enough to be worth it.

I expected a lot more

With a name like Radisson, i expected a lot more. This place is very run down, and has a smell. I thought I got a good deal, turns out the price was above the quality expectation.

Room was great; common areas sucked

Pros: Bed was nice
Cons: Common areas
Ice machines didn't work; the restaurant wasn't open for Sunday breakfast. the common areas were run down but the room itself was comfortable and clean. the staff (one person Saturday night and one on Sunday) was less than helpful - they each appeared overwhelmed and not interested in making anything right.

Big room

Pros: The lobby was nice and the rooms were very spacious.
Cons: Staff attitude and bugs in the stairway.
Location: Very close to the Ontario airport and mall.
The guy that checked me in was not friendly or helpful. He didn't explain anything about the hotel or where we should park in regards to our room. The room itself was very nice and spacious. Overall it was a nice place to stay and would give it another shot, but hopefully not have the same employee checking us in.

Definitely not 3 1/2 stars.

Pros: The pool was open until 11 p.m. which is great.
Cons: The hot tub by the pool was empty. The bathroom door was broken and didn't shut all the way or lock. The TV wouldn't turn on.
Location: Everything was nearby, malls, restaurants, etc.
It was a decent hotel, but definitely not deserving of the stars Travelocity gives it. The hallway floor is uneven, and has a low ceiling. The lobby is huge, and has very little furniture in it. A lot of wasted space. Check in was easy and fast. The staff was friendly.

Clean & Spacious Room

Pros: Clean & spacious rooms!
Cons: The patio - needs maintenance!
Location: Right across from Ontario Convention Center & there's a Marie Calendars w/ in walking distance.
My overall experience at this hotel was good. The rooms were clean and spacious and I love the retro decor. One thing I'd have to say is that the outside patio is not very nice. It looks as though it is not been kept up w/ landscape, pool, cleaning, etc. So I would not recommend going out there until it is cleaned up. The hotel doesn't offer much either; no night life or anything like that... actually, it's very quiet and dark (not much lighting inside). But if you're just looking for a nice place to sleep, then this is definitely the place for you!
