There was a light out, there was a shampoo bottle left in the shower from a prior guest and there was a sock on the floor that did not belong to me. Also, I thought there was an airport shuttle from the hotel. They said it was not running due to covid. I probably should have researched that more before booking.

I hate to leave a bad review, so I will start out with the wins. Most of the staff were pretty nice. The young man who worked late the night we checked in was really sweet and kind. The towels were clean and the sheets on the bed were clean. The bed was comfortable. The Mexican restaurant next door was inexpensive, but pretty good. Randy's Donuts is on the next block, a very short walk. They have the best apple fritter ever. The rest was a pretty sad story. The hotel is very run down and desperately in need of renovation. The smell in the room was terrible, the carpet was tattered, the bed is made with only a bottom sheet, 1 top sheet and a blanket folded in half. I had to re-make the bed to be able to sleep in it. I had a hard time sleeping because the people in the upstairs room on top of mine were very very loud as they moved around. The airplanes are also very loud. The hotel promises breakfast, but only has bread, tiny muffins and corn flakes or raisin bran. It was the sorriest continental breakfast I have ever seen. The hot water went out in the middle of my 5-night stay leaving us with no showers for the last 3 days of our stay. Before the hot water went out the shower had good water pressure, but the water cycled hot then cold then hot again. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you are looking for a good night sleep or a decent breakfast. If you are looking for somewhere close to other things like the freeway or the airport, then this is a good place.

The check in was pleasant with an assurance that the hotel van would take me to the airport in the morning. The room smelled of smoke and there was a facility behind the hotel with very bright lights and noise that continued all night. The undersized ironing board had no legs so it just sat on the counter. In the morning when I tried to check out there was no one in the front desk area and did not answer the buzzer nor the phone. Needless to say there was no transportation to LAX which was why I selected this hotel

The worst place I ever checked into. First the inside hallway had litter scraps on the floor, the "non-smoking" room had it's sliding door fully opened and the bathroom fan was on to clear the smoke smell. There were litter scraps on the carpets and stains on bathroom fixtures showing that they weren't even wiped off. I went back to the office and switched registration to a second room. The second room had last night's garbage in the waste basket and the sheets were untucked on the side of the bed. This prompted me to pull back the sheets for a look where I found dried blood (appeared unwashed) half-way down the mattress. That was enough.......... I demanded a refund, which was granted by Travelocity. The person at the registration desk didn't even seem surprised. Travelocity was fair and cooperative.

These people will go out of their way to be helpful. The Van/Airport Shuttle driver, cleaning people, and the desk clerks - really went the extra mile for me and it was very much appreciated. All the staff were excellent. I really enjoyed my stay here.

Unfortunately, I did not enjoy my stay. So much so that I decided to leave a day early. Not only was the room stuffy, but the electric outlets did not work. I had to unplug the lamps in order to charge my laptop and cell phone. I intended to finish important work while staying there but since the wi-fi connection did not work either there was just no point in staying any longer. Also unfortunately, they have a no refund policy.
