Boho Chic Venice Beach Bungalow

Welcome to Shell House Venice! This light-filled, spacious 2+ bedroom, 1 bath 1911 Craftsman provides the amenities of a boutique hotel with warm touches that make it feel like home. Perfect for a romantic weekend, family getaway, or writer's retreat. The front porch overlooks a large grassy yard with a picket fence, and is perfect for a morning coffee or an early evening chill. The private, enclosed backyard offers a tranquil setting for outdoor dining & enjoying the fire pit.

The Solstice Room, tucked away at the back of the house, is adjacent to the kitchen and dining room. It makes a cozy bedroom, sitting room or office and can be fully enclosed by drawing the privacy curtains.

The "Jack and Jill" bathroom is located between the Sunrise and Sunset bedrooms and is easily accessed through either room.

Shell House is one and a half blocks from Abbot Kinney's famed restaurants and shopping, and the iconic Venice Walk Streets, and is a breezy walk or bike ride to Venice Beach and the Venice Canals.

Amazing Stay

This location is perfect. It’s right off abbot Kinney. A 5 minute walk to Erhwon and a ton of other great restaurants and stores. The house is very charming and clean. We absolutely loved meeting Courtney the owner. She was beyond accommodating and so kind to our family. 100% recommend this place!!

Great location, great host, great vacation!

Shell house is a lovely property in easy walking distance to all that Venice has to offer and is a great base for getting further afield in and around LA. We loved the chill beach vibe of the place, whilst still having everything we needed for our stay. Our host, Courtney, was very attentive and we enjoyed meeting her and Alice!

Perfect Location for an LA Vacation

We had the best experience staying at this beautiful Venice Bungalow! The house was so welcoming, the beds were extremely comfortable, and the house was spotless. The owner was super responsive and just the most delightful person we've ever met. It was the perfect location to stay at as we explored Venice, Santa Monica, and West Hollywood. The house provided some beach chairs and beach blankets, which was great to use for an afternoon at the beach. The house is in walking distance to Abbot Kinney Blvd and the location was perfectly nestled near a variety of restaurants and coffee shops to select from. This house is a gem, and it truly made our vacation extra enjoyable.
