Clean & Modern hotel, lacking security

Pros: The gym, the spa, the restaurants, the Chandelier bar...
Cons: SECURITY!!! Security needs to be tightened at this hotel, due to all the people wandering through at all hours of the day and night.
Location: The location is amazing! Center strip and close to everything!!
We enjoyed our stay at the Cosmo this past weekend. I was there with my mom and my sister for 3 nights. We enjoyed the hotel for the most part - the spa was amazing, the gym is well equipped and the restaurants on site were great! HOWEVER, my only complaint is that the hotel lacks all security up to the hotel rooms. Most 5 stat hotels that I have stayed in either require a key card to get up all times, or at least past a certain time of night. This hotel required none of that, so it was a little intimidating for 3 girls who were staying alone. Because of that, I will probably not stay there again even though we had a nice stay.

Great room. So-so hotel

The wraparound terrace suite is the best room on the strip, however the first floor/casino area is dark, cramped and one of the smokiest on the strip. I would stay here again but for the room, not the casino.

Lots of eye appeal and great food. Poor service

Hotel is beautiful and casino is very new and clean. Comp program is he worst on the strip for people spending $3k in 3 days. Could not even get a comp for a meal. I’m always treated like a king at mgm with $100 food comps no questions asked. Ordered room service for 1 breakfast $51 Orderered a meal for 2 at STK $225 not including tip. 2 coffees 2 bagels $24 not including tip. Buffett $40 each not including tip ( brunch) . Ate at hidden pizza (which is delicious ) $6 slice not including tip. Went there 3 times it was so good. Wife bought tons of stuff at gift shop. Room was nice but had lights over fridge that didn’t work. Crumbs from previous guest all over carpet. It is a great casino but the management needs to take a look at competition and wake their staff up. I will not stay there again. This review would have been better if they would have gave me a lousy buffet. Very unfortunate . If you are the once a year Vegas traveler don’t waste a dime at cosmopolitan. MGM will continue to be my favorite. Don’t understand I can get a free buffet whenever I walk into an Indiana casino, don’t add up.

Right in the center of the action

Great stay. Beautiful hotel and room. We don’t gamble but I can say that the casino was well laid out and roomy. Less smoky than most of the casinos. The balcony was a nice feature of the room.

Hope you don't want coffee

The room was amazing . The staff was great. However, there is no coffee pot or Keurig in the room. You can't request one either as the hotel doesn't have them. You can order coffee from room service but it's $20 for a small pot and takes about an hour to get. There is a Starbucks in the casino but that means getting dressed and going downstairs to get it. A few people included in their review that they purchased a small coffee maker from CVS or Walgreens but I shouldn't have to purchase a coffee maker when I'm paying this much for a room and can't take it home with me on the plane.

Cosmopolitan Hotel

The room booked through travelocity was well priced, and much better than expected. The cleanliness, helpfulness and overall presentation of the room was flawless. Couldn't have asked for anything better for the price. The description of the room didn't give it justice.
