Great location. We were promised a room with a terrace view, what we got was a generic room

Loved this hotel, very nice and clean. It's very close to everything so you can walk everywhere. Very nice big pool too. The only thing I would say is I feel you should have at least free coffee in the morning, that would make it perfect.

4 DAY WEEKEND

Pros: The location , pool and view of the lake. Also the waitress service at the pool, where you can order food and drinks.
Cons: The hall ways in the motel. The balcony had all spider webs and insects hanging from the lights. A little paint and wipe down would go a long way.
Location: Location is the best in the village!! Everything is within 5 minute walking distance. Beach, boating, restaurants, shopping, arcades.
Stayed in the motel part, on the 2nd fl, with lake view. The room was clean except for the carpet which had stains all over it. These rooms are dated and the bathrooms are clean but could use a make over. There's also no refrigerator in room and minimal outlets to charge cell phone and other electronics. The view of the lake from the room is amazing.

Fantastic location, very run down, very thin walls-heard room next door clearly and we had 2 different rooms.... other than location on the gorgeous lake George...totally overpriced and not pleasant... Dianna at front desk is major PLUS and really accommodating but the hotel is a bust.

Very Deceiving

Pros: They gave you a lot of towels...sorry struggling for a positive. Oh, the location was very good too.
Cons: The rooms need to be renovated, add more outlets to accommodate for today's wired world, and they need bigger hot water tanks.
Location: We were surrounded by restaurants and fun things to do with a family or with friends (lanes & games, putt-putt golf), & shopping.
We booked a room that claimed to have a lovely mountain view. We had a lovely view of the parking lot and the mountains were way in the distance. It was in a separate building than the hotel and resembled a 2 story motel. The room itself was old...from the walls to the flooring...it was tired and in need of some freshening up. The bathroom was very small. On the bright side, they gave you many towels. They did not give you any additional blankets. I froze. Tried to turn on the heat but it smells very musty and with my allergies decided it was better to be cold and breathe than warm and stuffy. I struggled to find outlets to charge my watch and my phone. My husband had to wait to charge his phone till mine was finished as we could only find 2 available outlets. One was conveniently located and the other was not. The walls were paper thin. I could hear talking, flushing, showers and even footsteps. When we got up in the morning, there was no hot water or warm water. It was just one or two degrees above cold. Needless to say, I was not brave enough to face a cold shower. The location was great. There were many different options for staying surrounding this establishment. I would encourage you to select one of those.

Dear Nan, Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. Your feedback will help other Trip Advisor travelers make informed decisions. Our goal is always to create a great experience for each of our guests. The uniqueness and location of our property draws many return visitors year after year. As noted in your comments, we have three different types of accommodations, each with their own location, ambiance, and amenities. We have taken great strides to differentiate them to potential guests. Our web page even has a video of each section to help our guests make informed travel decisions. Our standard east section is our most economical and is still the most popular with many of our VIPs, especially in the summer when the outdoor, Olympic size pool, overlooking Lake George is open. It was our pleasure having you as our guest.

Pictures are Deceiving

Pros: the pool was nice, good view of the lake.
Cons: Knock the entire motel section down
Location: it was a short stay and we just wanted to relax at the hotel
We were given a room in the "motel" section of the hotel. What a disappointment. The paint was peeling off the walls, holes in the walls, gnats in the room. The pictures you see on the website was most definitely not the room we were given. The concrete corridors to the room are filthy and stained. The main lobby and pool are nice. But forget about the "motel" section, you are better off elsewhere.

Lake George Experience

Pros: Perfect setting beside the Fort and the Lake. Clean comfortable rooms. Bright and airy places to sit. Great parking.
Location: We were going to the Fort so conveniently located right next door. Lots of places to walk along the lake. Good shopping nearby
Spent two nights in Lake George. Very helpful and friendly staff, including the poor woman I asked to tell some guests who thought they were hilarious and were shouting and screaming outside the hotel until 1:30am to stop. Thank you. Eventually they were tired and went to bed! Comfortable room. Good breakfast. Lovely setting. Recommend it to all. Ellen from Canada

Great views of Lake George

Pros: Reasonable price so it was a good choice for our first visit to the area.
Cons: The website did not provide adequate information on where our room was located. We were in an annex with no elevator... NOT good for my friend.
Location: Fort William Henry next door. Steamships across street for lake tours. Plenty of restaurants and shops 2 blocks away.
We went for 4 days with another couple to celebrate anniversaries. First time to Lake George. Plenty of things to do so we were never bored - sightseeing, shopping, kayaking or parasailing, mini golf. Best way to visit is to walk around the area, so if you have difficulties with that you may want to choose a hotel closer to the specific things you want to do. We didn't have time to venture out of the area for some of the things we saw advertised like all the caves... so hopefully next time!

Spring Skiing at Gore

Decided to take advantage of spring snow at Gore Mtn. Also checked out the Glen Falls Brew Fest. This Ft.William Henry Hotel seemed a good compromise between the two. The Hotel is beautiful, located right on the lake with an excellent view from the lobby and I assume some of the rooms. The rooms are spacious well appointed suites, the TV service was top notch. The bed had lots of clean pillows, though I was unable to find a comfortable way to watch TV, sleeping was great. The Hotel is quiet and the bathroom had a shower and a tub. All in all, a bit of a drive to Gore the next morning, but a relaxing hotel stay nonetheless less. There is Adirondack brewpub across the street for dinner and some socializing. Wish the pancake house had been open, the town must be a summer destination. Would recommend Anytime.
