"Character has a price"
Loved the hotel, neighborhood, personality, staff, and classic personality of an old dame hotel. But it meant some inconveniences like thin walls and a narrow bathroom that I had to leave to towel off after the shower. Great Irish pub next door, great location, extremely helpful and friendly staff.

"Cool hotel while in Downtown"
This is a cool hotel located in a cool building in downtown. Even though the parking was complicated, they have valet service (for a fee) which helps. The interior design is very modern and nice and the bed is comfortable and the views incredible. The restaurant of the hotel is very very good but we didn't have a chance to try the bar since it was closed when we came back from our dinner/party. The staff is very professional and nice. For a price that is comparable to the Clarendon and San Carlos, this is a better option, especially if you want more space and comfort.

"Phoenix"
I have stayed here before, and my first stay was very good. The second stay was acceptable, but it was weird that I found cellophane wrappers on the floor and there was peeling wallpaper around the window. As before, the staff were very nice and helpful and the stay overall was pretty good.

"Just what I wanted"
Seems to be run by a family. I was greeted and checked in by a very friendly man. The hotel had ample free parking. The room was just what I was looking for: affordable, clean, a feeling of safety and conviently located. I was able to walk to Talking Stick Arena, plenty of restaurants along the way.

"Family Luxury for a Night!"
Well, my husband had won baseball tickets on a radio call in show. That left me toom to budget for something fantastic, preferably walking distance. Travelocity's site had recycled, as I had gone to book a two bed. The hotel was fantastic about getting us a weel in for our 8yr old. Upon arrival, the gentlman at the front desk asked if we were there for the game, and would like a room with a view, so he put us up high. He even gave him an unusable room card to keep for his treasure box, as a memento. It was amazing! They were so polite and accommodating, the whole time. It was very clean. The vale (sorry, spell chek on my phone is acting up) service was a huge relief, so that our car was more secure. We will book again here, for our next trip, if possible!

Downtown Phoenix Hotel & Travel Guide

Dry desert air wraps you in a hug as you stare out at vast expanses of unfettered terrain. A tumbleweed blows in the distance, while you feel a sudden calling to hike Camelback Mountain. You answer by putting on your tennis shoes and heading out with water bottle in hand, ready to have an epiphany at the peak while the clouds dance just overhead. Feeling parched, you head back down to the city and visit a local watering hole for good company and a cold beer. You’re in Phoenix, Arizona.

Like a bird rising from the ashes, PHX appears seemingly out of nowhere. One minute you’re driving through miles upon miles of empty desert real estate, and the next a vision of skyscrapers starts to take shape in the distance. Before long, you’re smack dab in the middle of a thriving metropolis, where top-notch shopping venues meet fine cuisine and family-friendly water parks. Book downtown Phoenix hotels, like the Hyatt Regency Phoenix, and you’re never far from the best of the Valley of the Sun.

Where do I go about experiencing the Wild West in Phoenix?

Saddle up, partner. These days, Phoenix may have every modern advance at its disposal, but you can still play Wild West within its borders. Head to Rawhide Western Town (free to visit) and wander past real blacksmiths and shooting galleries on your way to Wild West shows. When you get a hankering for dinner, a stagecoach ride to the steakhouse will put you right. Over at Cave Creek, an old gold mining camp, you can ride horses into the sunset. Oh, to trot toward a tangerine sky. This is the life.

Just east of the city, your journey into the west of yore continues. At the Mining Camp Restaurant & Trading Post, sink your teeth into a family-style meal. As the barbecue sauce eases its way down your fingers, you will appreciate the goodness that comes from comfort food.

Whether you want to embrace the skyline of urban PHX or seek the solitude of quiet desert trails, booking cheap hotels in downtown Phoenix is the right start to your vacation.
