I had read one review online that the hotel wasn't very soundproof, and boy do I wish I had taken it more seriously. There was a couple in the room next door and I could hear EVERY single word they were saying, not just their voices. And the mattresses were pretty uncomfortable. Sure, the location is great. But if you're looking to get a good night's sleep, stay clear of this place. It is much too overpriced for what it is.

While the staff was very friendly upon check in and checking out, the hotel is very old. The charm of the building is lost by the age of the carpet and curtains in the room. The bed was uncomfortable and the chairs had a few stains. The room was surface clean with a scrubbed bathroom and fresh bedding. Parking was awful. Again, staff was helpful at check in, but parking was not addressed when making reservations. Because the hotel is downtown parking is metered street options or paid parking structures around the city. Lots are located on various corners, but can be scary and quite a walk with luggage. Our lot was accessible down an alley, with homeless sleeping along the walk, or walking an entire city block. I would not recommend that path at night. Note, other highend hotels are in the area with valet parking. This hotel could be quite nice with a remodel and some love.

This is a mid range hotel, not anything special but it was in a great spot. No air conditioning so that may be a problem in the hotter months. Clean, safe, good spot to crash. Parking is rough though, only parking garages or street.

This hotel was such a joy to stay at! I very rarely find hotels with as much character and history as this one has. It has a beautiful restaurant attached and a room for parties/events to rent. Incredible location as well! 10/10

Most ‘convenient’ Parking is in a ramp 1 block from the hotel entrance and not validated. Historical building, but the room was small and bathroom tiny. Easy ride from hotel to the airport with Uber Waymo or Lyft. But Waymo might not get you to the right airline if using terminal 4… Walking distance for Suns or Diamondbacks. Nice Mexican restaurant with very good food at the hotel and lots of great options for bars and food within 2 blocks. Staff was very nice and also helpful. No ghost encounters…☹️

I know it’s an older hotel but I was surprised at how thin the walls were. I could hear a kid crying next door & a lady coughing. Lots of hall light coming in under the door at night as well. The staff on the other hand, were absolutely amazing! Extremely helpful & friendly. The room was clean just very dated.
