Nice Waterview Room

Pros: The location and it was quiet.
Location: Lots of museums to visit and the food was great. You must visit Papa Joes and Owl Cafe and the Maritime Boat Tour was full of history.
It was a great stay. A few things were off but I requested that room at the last minute which is probably why it wasn't ready. Otherwise, very nice stay with lots of space.

A fine surprise in Apalachicola

Location: A quaint fishing village, not to touristy. The locatin is right on the waterway that the fishing boats use. Go to eat oysters.
Our room was spectacular in all regards with a delightful view over the low country complete with shrimp boats. We only had one night to stay and wish it were more to enjoy the relaxing scene. The room (s) were clean, well appointed and the full kitchenette was as nice as I have seen anywhere. There is a small extra bed in a side room with a second bath, which I wanted to use, as my wife was having difficulty sleeping. It was only partially made up, missing a cover sheet. I called the desk and the young lady said it would be taken care of. When we returned from dinner, the extra sheet was laying on top of the bed so we had to remake it ourselves. I thought it would have been nicer for the staff to make the bed. That was the only negative experience. I would go back and will tell friends to stay there. And don't miss the oysters!

Would not stay there again

Pros: Beautiful place.
Cons: More furniture..one couch and one chair by the desk...no room for anyone wanting to visit.
Location: Good places for seafood. Some is the town is nice and fun, but a lot is run down. Orman House was wonderful. What a wonderful tour guide.
The place is beautiful, great location and the view is wonderful. We did not have room service for two days in a row, and had to call every night to get service. There was NO excuse for this. I made the reservation two months in advance. As the guests started coming in for the weekend, it seems they just forgot about us. My daughter has a house on St George and I have told them about this. When they are booked, they always tell other people where to stay. It won't be here.
