The Palmetto did not have my correct room. Which was a king bed for 5 days. The room that we received smelled like smoke. There was cigarettes under the bed skirt. It was 2 queen beds This was supposed to be a non smoking room. The staff said multiple times that they would fix the problem. They said they would call me when they had my room each day I went in to speak to them at the front desk The evening clerk talked down to me in front of other guests. I held my tongue. I called on the third day of our stay before 3:20 I was put on hold for 20 minutes then, they hung up on me. I spoke with the night auditor upon check out and let her know what happened. What a way to spend my anniversary!

The room that we booked back in November was supposedly over booked… which was a king for 5 days. They put us in a 2 queen beds and was supposed to rectify the situation and never did I tried multiple times at the front desk. They blew me off and said they were gonna upgrade me which they did did not and then when I tried to call the front desk, they put me on hold for 15 minutes and then hung up on me. The room smelled like smoke. There were cigarette butts underneath the bed. All of our stuff smelled like smoke, but by the time we left there and it’s a non-smoking room.. the coffee maker was broke. They obviously didn’t vacuum the room because they were sick of butts underneath the bed edge. The manager was supposed to call me never did. what a great way to spend my anniversary hotel. Steve ignored me and lied to me..

They should not show pictures of the nice rooms in the hotel. We were told to go across the street to the motel which was hideous. the AC was so loud it was impossible to sleep, the room was gross and the front window was facing the parking lot and anyone could see in at any time. There was no security on the motel side and they never tell you when you book that it is NOT a HOTEL. In moments you are whisked from this nice gorgeous looking hotel on the beach to a motel that looks like it took a page from a book on where serial killers find their prey. Trust me do not stay here.
