The beach view was great! Pool area was nice and clean. We just stayed one night so we didn’t utilize any of the amenities. I picked this just because of the price. It definitely needs updated. Painted. New mattress. If you are picky on little details this place is not for you. If you are not there for the room and like a friendly budget I would recommend. Staff was very friendly. Great location

Good location with a great view. The room is nothing fancy but worth the price. You get what you pay for. Booked for one night until our house was available. Decent water pressure. Minor cosmetic issues but if your looking for a cheap place to stay for a short period of time would definitely recommend. Beds need an upgrade. But wasn’t horrible. Again, you get what u pay for so I didn’t go in with high expectations.

Old, outdated, poop walls and used toiletries

The only good thing I can say about this stay was that the staff was able to allow us early check in. The room was not stocked, had poop on the bathroom wall and they left the last persons shampoo/conditioner bottles so we didn’t even get fresh toiletries. The hotel is extremely outdated. Also a note to keep in mind if booking is while it’s “beachfront” you only get that by paying the extra $200 otherwise you’re across the street, we had no idea that we’d still have to walk across the street to get to the beach. Extremely disappointed in our stay and absolutely will not be back.

Disappointing…

Very disappointed in the room accommodations. We paid for a king size bed/room and got stuck in the “annex” across the street. Very old and outdated. Nothing comfortable. Bathroom was old and barely functional. No hooks for towels. Very few outlets. Towels were more like kitchen towels. Toilet paper was the cheapest you can buy. Whole thing was just cheap. I won’t do a return visit. It was much like being in an old motel. Rating is a 4 at best. Pictures on Hotel.com wasn’t really accurate of actual accommodations. Maybe the main hotel was better. Don’t let the reviews fool you. You have to read thru a bunch to get to the real reviews. I think there must be a bunch of fake reviews staged up front.

Beware. Bait and switch.

This was bait and switch. The pictures showed a nice new building on the ocean. We were given a room across the street in a 70’s era motel that had been cheaply remodeled. The mattress was old as were the kitchen appliances. The floor was never vacuumed, so the sand stayed in the room.

We had a wonderful time at Palmetto Beachfront hotel. It has potential and likely was a very nice hotel at one point but parts of the property are a little more run down and the exercise room wasn't cleaned while we were there. The staff were nice and we loved having an ocean view. The location was great as was the value.

Overall we enjoyed our stay and had a good time. Some issues should be improved: - Doors, specially balconies’ make a loud noise when they’re let go, waking people up. Very upsetting! - No Bell service. Hotel front door very impractical for luggage cart! Should be automatic. - Rooms should have phones to communicate with front desk, concierge. Staff should have name tags. - Better room service providing towels, trash bags, toilet paper, facial tissue, and vacuuming. - More attention to seamless checking out-checking back in, regarding extending a stay. We had an argument with the maintenance guy because he was not notified about our rechecking in, and he came to give maintenance to the room. - Their should be ramps to go down to the beach. - Air conditioning unit in the room, kept cooling regardless of temperature setting, unless turned off. - Shower should have shower hose. - Parking impractical. - There was no security staff on site. - Cabana should offer food for lunch and snacking. We had a problem with the staff at checking-out because the computer showed we had checked-out at 4:44 am, which was impossible as we were asleep. This sent the cleaning ladies and maintenance staff to our room when we were still asleep. The lady at the front desk was not empathetic, seemed upset, lacked patience with us and kept repeating herself, instead of giving us a good explanation and trying to make it up to us as this was the second time the hotel had a problem with this!

Loved the big outdoor area, the very clean huge heated pool and hot tub, plenty of chairs and chaises, they had outdoor grills and plenty of room to sit around and just relax .you could rent umbrellas and loung e chairs down on the sand .The room we had ,had a nice spacious balcony, living area with a full kitchen , table with 4 chairs stove ,fridge and microwave,also dishes , a couch ..There were 2 TVs Everything worked good and the only thing I wish was that I brought my own bagged coffee because they didn't have Keurigs which I meant to ask what they had but forgot you could get coffee down in the lobby free as well as purchase a bag of ice for 2.00. Liked that there was a winn Dixie near by. We were also close to everything we wanted to do , walk on the pier, shop, ride the sky wheel visit the zoo.
