It was nice for an older hotel, I have stayed here a few times before a few years ago. We weren't happy with the ac it just didn't stay cool at night we would all wake up hot. The elevator was slow moving. Loved the pool. Being on the beach was amazing.

This property is old but our room was clean and had a balcony with an amazing view. If you just need a place to crash, on the beach, at a fair price and you don’t care about all the bells and whistles- this is it.

We loved Boardwalk Beach Hotel because of our view feom bottom floor & short walk to ocean. We also loved the old Floridian style with the boardwalk throughout the large property & lots of palm trees, sand dunes & cactus along the way as we took walks around and there are lots of wooden benches & observation decks to gaze out at beach & ocean. Nice pools & even though this is an old property, it has classic feel we loved. The room had been updated with paint, new wood look floors & new bathroom fixtures, but the trim around the bathroom ceiling was crumbling & rusted & needs replaced soon, is an eye-sore. Also, there was some mildew around soap holder on shower wall and the toilet paper holder was very dirty, I had to clean it myself... Looked like they had not cleaned it in months even though they replaced toilet paper rolls, so they HAD to see the dirt ! And the air freshener they use was awful... Smelled like strong baby powder, but thankfully I had my bottle of Febreze to counteract that smell. The housekeeping staff & security guard were very nice but front desk lady who checked us in lacked customer service skills. Yes, she did her job but she was unenthused & no personality whatsoever...Seemed bored out of her mind & should not be doing this kind of work. She was very UNWELCOMING to us and the next guest in line.I saw other Reviews stating the same about the front desk person at this hotel. Not sure if same lady we had but similar impression given. OTHERWISE good stay.

Most of the front desk help never smiled. Housekeeping needs an overhaul. Each day/ person was different. Most days I had to get my own washcloths, coffee, etc. Floor was filthy when we arrived. We had stayed about 5 years ago and were happy with it, but not now. The grounds were well kept.

I did not appreciate the push to sell their timeshares. I was told to go to another desk to finish registering. I was asked for my driver's license and after I presented it, was given a pushy sales tactic to sign up for a timeshare presentation in exchange for a free stay at another location. I would not have given my information in the first place if I had known this was not an actual registration for my stay. Beds were hard and uncomfortable. Also, there is no housekeeping service. The room was not cleaned, or trash removed during the entire stay. A bag of towels was dropped off. The room had a very tiny TV with blurry picture and the coffee pot was a single tiny cup. Coffee packs were found in fridge. Supplies were not refreshed once. Soap and Shampoo provided through a cheap wall dispenser. It was fine for a short stay but would not recommend for a week stay.
