The air conditioning was not working for the 2 days I was there. It was not pleasant. Front desk said they were working on it. The beds are so run down. New mattresses are needed. I would not call this a 4 star hotel. It has really deteriorated.

Property is nice. World class However we came at a time that airconditioning in our room during the chicago heatwave weekend was not optimal. Front desk apologized and said maintenance crew working on it for the othr hotel rooms affected as well. No remedy for inconvenience. High rate for its cleanliness and ecofriendliness Front desk polite but appeared stressed out. Location nice.

Air conditioning did not work during a heat wave this past weekend. Customers were not given a courtesy call or any form of notification that the AC was down. Had to call and find out why my room was so hot, at that time I was informed that they are working on it. Was without AC for two days. Still waiting for compensation or any word from management.

Our room had a broken AC and it took hours for them to help us out with a solution , nit until we were mad and uncomfortable we asked to get a refund and leave the hotel, they act and gave us another room, but they told us before for hours they didn’t have another rrom. Also room service food was flavorless and cold. Will never stay at this hotel again!

We had an excellent stay at the Sofitel. The staff was extremely accommodating. Rooms were clean and beautiful, and the beds extremely comfortable. The location of this hotel is very hard to beat. We will be back again.
