Nice n clean. Great location for walking Charleston. Just steps from good restaurants but get reservations cause u cant get a table without them. A/C was noisy but worked well. No hot tub as pictured. Also breakfast was coffee, juice and fresh fruit...no muffins or anything else.

Our room key opened other doors so very unsafe, the pictures are misleading, the staff rude, not a hotel, this is a motel and was damp

The location is spectacular if you want to be in the heart of Charleston. My wife and I were able walk and see so much of the city and did not need to drive for the entire time. The staff at Elliot House was great and friendly. The room was exactly what we needed for a get away.

From our arrival, we were impressed. Our room was ready early! The staff was knowledgeable about things to do, places to eat and how to get around the ciity. The location was perfect for our first time trip to Charleston. We loved the breakfasts and especially enjoyed relaxing in the courtyard with wine and munchies. A great place to stay.

Room was fine but the noise level was impossible!!

Pros: location was fine. pretty from the outside. $20 parking lot across the street
Cons: NOISE level! better choices for breakfast.
We were put in Room #17 on the first floor, tucked away in what looked like it would be a quiet spot. The room was fine, very comfortable bed. We went to bed at 10:00, after a long day of travel. The noise from above us was unbelieveable! It sounded as if a renovation was going on, with constant footsteps and moving furniture sounds! It kept us up until midnight. We think it must've been coming from an adjacent restaurant. Once that noise quieted down, we were kept awake by very loud snoring coming from the room next door. We had one sound machine on to block it, but needed another to drowns it out and get to sleep. Walls are paper thin! The choices for breakfast were not great.We would've preferred a continental breakfast at a cheap chain hotel. It was the strangest thing because there was no soap dish in the beautiful shower stall! Not even a ledge to put soap or shampoo on....very odd. Icing on the cake.....I asked for a closing billl to show that we didn't owe anything, as they told us on check in and check out. They said we had paid in full through Travelocity so there was no need for a copy of a bill. Two hours after checking out, a charge for over $200 came on the credit card we gave them at check in!!!!! Thankfully we get alerts from our bank!!!! I called and the man said there had been an error and he did promptly credit us. This wouldve been bad for someone that doesn't monitor their credit card charges like we did! All in all, very disappointing.

I'm sorry that we did not meet your expectations. We are located in the middle of a busy city, there is a possibility for noise. All of our rooms, bathrooms, and courtyard are going to be renovated in January, 2018. The renovations should help with many of the noise issues. We hope that you will give us another try.

Very convenient , staff was above and beyond.

Pros: Friendly and convenience
Location: We were able to walk to many restaurants,shopping and historic sights did not need to drive car during our stay
We enjoyed Charlston very much. We took a carriage ride on Palmetto carriages a great way to see and learn the history. When we finished we only had a half hour to catch harbor tour. I was standing with map in hand with a baffled look a young man asked if he could help told him my problem , he said you will never be able to walk in time wait here I will get a gulf cart and drive you we were so appreciative. While driving there conversation found this young man was owner of Palmetto carriages I could not believe he would go out of his way to take us to the harbor. What a wonderful experience can.t speak highly enough of this company and the employees thank you

Simply Wonderful! Ideal location & affordable.

Pros: Location & staff. Comfortable room, too. Complementary breakfast delivered to your room or to a courtyard table -your choice.
Cons: 2 soap bars. May have been an oversight but only one soap bar.
Location: The Market, world-class restaurants - too many to name here - we enjoyed The Ordinary, Hank's, Magnolia, Toast, and High Cotton.
Location in historic Charleston can't be beat! Hotel receptionist is former history teacher who can advise you on where to walk, tours, restaurants, etc... Go and enjoy!

Not worth the money!!!!! You could hear what's Going on in the courtyard. Tv was small with pour cable connection. Maintenance items or stored under steps visible when you walk through the courtyard. I would not recommend this inn.
