We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the room and bathroom were. The outside is old and dated but kept well, but the inside has been updated and was lovely. The bed was comfortable. "Keep in mind you're staying here because you don't want to tent camp in Yosemite. The perk of this lodge is the views to the mountain stream out your back door. I'm sure, when it was built, this lodge was gorgeous. It is now very dated and run down. There were a couple pools out of order. The indoor pool was extremely warm. The hot tubs weren't functioning. The restaurants on site are not run by the hotel. Do yourself a favor and don't eat and the restaurant, buy food at their store and make it in your room. There was a lightly stocked kitchen in our room, no microwave, but a two burner stove. The fireplace worked and was wonderful. The bed was comfortable and room was large. Our two person jetted tub and double shower head was functional but the drain didn't work. You have to ask for housekeeping to come by. Again, this is the best option to stay extremely close to the park entrance without sleeping in a tent or cabin. There are no elevators so keep that in mind when booking a room. If you have lots of stuff to carry after hiking all day, request a first floor room. We had adequate wifi. The room served it's purpose but is overpriced for the age of the facility. Regardless, the best option we found. "
