Disappointed Stay on Long Island NY

The room key didnt work. Front desk had to come to give us a new set. The room was clean EXCEPT for the torn curtain. I reported that to the front desk. Mattress needs a mattress pad. You can feel the springs when you moved. NO PHONE in the room. TV just stastic when we turned it on. Maintenance came up and put on ROKU TV. Couldn't find anything regular channels. Basically Couldn't watch TV our entire stay. Complained multiple times. Both the Bar and Restaurant were CLOSED upon arrival stating it was a Monday/HOLIDAY. The Cafe/Snack bar was NEVER OPENED. The "restaurant" serve very limited breakfast as well as dinner. We ate out. Big Perk is Free Parking. No attendant, no luggage assistance. Hospitality industry has really hone down post COVID. I found more competitive rates After booking through Hotels.com. Very disappointed 😞. In summary I do not recommend the Radisson and don't intend to book a future stay at any of their properties.

Worst service ever!

I originally booked this stay for my birthday intending in other guest who didn’t come. I called a day in advance to ask them to please change my room to a king and I was told I was all set. The day of I called and was immediately placed on hold and left on hold for over 17 mins, when someone answered I informed them I was calling to see if I could check in early as I was from out of town and given the nature and unprofessional manner the phone was answered inquiring if my request was more then reasonable. They didn’t agree and proceeded to tell me they couldn’t promise early check in but would do there best. When I arrived I wasn’t putting a king room and when I questioned the desk I was told because I booked through a 3rd party and didn’t get the name of the person who changed it I couldn’t get my room switched. They were booked only to find rooms were still available online.

This is an old and outdated hotel. The carpets in the hallways were stained, a few hall lights flickering. The tub in the room was chipped, patched, and dirty. The toilet seat had a chunk missing from it and a sharp edge to it from that. Beds were ok, pillows not great. The garbage was visible from the parking lot and it was overflowing. Not a well kept hotel. They were understaffed and with the computer system down, scrambling to handle the checking in process and deal with customer needs. Understandably they were frazzled by the computer system on a busy weekend but there was no leadership to handle the flow of customers and seeing people to their rooms. Since it was a busy soccer tournament weekend, the hotel was packed. Little supervision by parents and kids were running around the hotel which is frustrating for us who had early games. I went down to complain to the front desk and all they could say was they were sorry. No offer to send security around or anything. The manager was at the front desk and did not come over to hear the concern. He instead was irritated by the busy lobby and actually yelled across the lobby for the kids to stop pounding on the piano. It was chaos and the parents staying there did nothing to help. I would not stay here again, even if there was no tournament going on for the lack of cleanliness and care given to the details of the hotel rooms.

The stay was really awful. The computer system was down and the key card did not work to enter the room so we had to go to the front desk every time we wanted to go into the room and they would not give us another room. They were stains on the carpet. Ol the staff at the front desk seemed inexperienced and slow causing huge delays just to get into our room. Overall an unenjoyable experience

Staff was great. The lobby was a zoo when we checked in. The room was freezing cold and the heat didnt seem to work. The bathroom was dirty with hair all over the floor. The parking lot was a mess with multiple cars taking up two spots. I had to park way in the back (behind hotel) and there is no entrance from the back, so had to walk all the way to the front in the rain. Would not go back.
