I've watched Black Rock Trail slowly get more and more eroded. It's so beautiful and now has even more character after #hurricanematthew
Visit the Driftwood Beach early in the morning for beautiful sunrises. Allow yourself time to hike a half mile trail in through the coastal forest. Even on busy holiday weekend the early morning beach is fairly isolated. One or two other photographers will join you. With many large driftwoods lining the beach there are endless compositions. The gnats can be pestering. So, wear comfortable long sleeves.
