unprofessional front desk staff

I called to complain about staff entering my room uninvited and housekeeping knocking on my door. Front desk hung up phone. After speaking with front desk assistant manager, young lady at front desk called me a B*^€€, which my son observed and reported to me. This was done behind my back as I was leaving. Manager, Terrell was very professional but I was appalled by the response of the front desk underling.

Very nice hotel - would visit again

Pros: The room was very clean and appearance great.
Cons: Just a little noisy with the air conditioner unit
Location: Location was close to everything and my daughter enjoyed shopping there.
It was an awesome experience from staff to the room itself. Fell in love with Mr. Charlie and David from valet parking. Such and enjoyable stay by all members of my party. Reatha

Hotel is well located, clean, and comfortable.

Pros: Location, comfort, staff.
Cons: The gym is too small for a hotel of this size, and half of the exercise machines were out of order.
Location: Johns Hopkins University, Loyola University, Charles Village, Baltimore Zoo, a few miles from the Inner Harbor and stadiums.
We stayed over one night when we went to Baltimore for an Orioles game. The hotel is just a few miles north of the stadium. It is comfortable and reasonably priced. The staff was very accommodating.

Overall not bad.

Pros: Free Internet
My only complaint was that I could hear the party going on until 2:30 am. After a 4 hr drive from another state, I could have done without the extra noise.

Visiting Hopkins Homewood Campus

Great location across the street from Johns Hopkins. Comfortable beds. Traveled w/ 2 teens so we liked that the bathroom had a door separating sink area from Shower/toilet...this allowed use of the bathroom by 2 people at once. French restaurant was very overpriced and food was not so great. Stay here but dine elsewhere.

Colonnade Baltimore

I was a bit concerned after reading some of the reviews about The Colonade but not at all disappointed. The location was perfect for our visit and the entire staff was friendly and very helpful. The parking is an expense but no different then downtown hotles and the parking attendents were helpful, very friendly even tho it was extremely cold and we never had to wait for our car. The front desk lady at check in was delightful and welcoming and of course the cookes were a nice treat too. Our room was spacious & clean - we found this hotel a treasure and would definitely recommend and encourage those wondering about negative reviews to come and stay- it was great!.

Location, Location & Location

My family and I just stayed at the Inn at the Colonnade while visiting Johns Hopkins University for parents weekend. The staff were super friendly, gorgeous hotel, very warm and welcoming enviorment. Everyone employeed went out of their way to make us feel special. The onsite restaurant, Alizee was also very delicious. We wound up purchasing our son a gift certificate to the restaurant so he could come for any meal to get something to eat. Best of all, hotel was directly across from Homewood Campus :) My husband and I felt like we struck gold with this hotel. Can't wait to come back for the next JHU event.

Doubletree Inn at the Colonnade

The first impression was breath taking. The lobby was gorgeous. When my Husband and I was checking in there were a few others checking in at the same time. There were to desk agents when we arrived at he desk. They were doing a good job at taking care of the guest before us then out of the backroom two other people came to assist them. It made our check in much speedier. The fitness center is fabulous with some really great workout equipment for someone like me who doesn't like to miss a workout. My overall experience was pretty awsome. The hotel has a lot of things to offer. There's a coffee shop with gourmet cupcakes and they also sell Starbucks coffee. Again overall I would definitely stay here again, as a matter of fact I am coming back to Maryland in July 2008 and I will definitely come back to this Hotel.
