The room was a bit out dated and the bathroom door design left for a lack of privacy. Overall staff was mid and lacked any effort in going above and beyond. Everyone seemed like they were just trying to survive the day. Also only two of the six elevators work so be prepared to wait in line more times then you’d like.

Arrived at 4:15 to check in, check in begins at 4 as shown on the website and the reservation confirmation. They took our ID, had us pay for the security deposit and then told us the room would not be ready and they didn’t know when it would be. Almost lost out on $50 for dinner reservations after waiting for 2 hours. That was until my boyfriend finally demanded a room so that we wouldn’t be charged. Staff did not offer a drink voucher or anything, including an explanation other than “people weren’t leaving the rooms from the night before.” This is the hotels responsibility to manage and they clearly did a poor job of it, but we still paid for a room, and lost out on hours we were supposed to have it. Many other people (at least 50 that we saw) were turned away as well, creating a tense and unenjoyable feeling to the evening. Considered just going home if the room would not have been non refundable.

My stay at the golden nugget was acceptable, for a king suite it was small but clean, nice view of the pool area. Plenty of outlets, mirrors and lightening. Not ideal for the younger crowd more for older folks, the live music was nice just not hip. Also it wasnt on the boardwalk! But overall nice
