The classic style and decor of this hotel is beautiful! Staff was friendly. Room amenities adequate. If you're expecting a new shiny hotel you may want to stay somewhere else. Looking for art deco charm, convenient location at a reasonable price for a shore property, I think the Claridge is a great option.

The Hispanic manager with the curly hair was rude, the room wasnt 100% clean, peeling paint, mold , pool was closed & they put 2 beds into a very tight right that should just have 1 room. Dont book a 300 sq ft if u are with kids. During my stay over 4 people complained as i went to check out. I guess u get what u pay for but my kids enjoyed the arcade on 2nd floor.

The room had roaches spoke to the manager. They didn’t care. Also charge was done to my credit card that wasn’t supposed be there manager. Didn’t care also had an attitude the area around the hotel had lots of homeless,personal unsafe.

It was ok. The ceiling was leaking water outside our room in the hallway. I notified the front desk immediately. Also the elevators run very very slow. Long wait to get to and from. No air conditioning in the hallways. Feels like a sauna Our room was clean. Bed comfy..

Not bad for the price. Hotel decor is very antique but goes with the vibe of the hotel. Check in was not great long line but staff was nice. I did enjoy all the antique pictures on the wall showing the boardwalk and hotel in its hay day.

The entire property was unclean. Every where you went it smells of marijuana. There is a dispensary on site. Please be aware of this. If that’s not something that you want on your trip. In the room, there are holes in the wall. The shower had black mold. The light switches were dirty and the sheets had marks on them. The windows were foggy. The elevators had an option to slide your hotel key to get to your floor, but it was not active. Room door was flimsy and did not appear to be a fire door, if it was, it’s certainly did not feel safe there. It was terribly noisy. I have been to the Claridge in the past . It certainly is not what it used to be. I will not return

This was a great stay for the price! Super close to the boardwalk with ocean views. While it did seem that only a couple elevators were working, we never waited longer than a few minutes if that. Checkin was slow, it appeared there was always a line of folks through the lobby waiting to check in. Our initial room had a couple issues, the plugs didn't work and neither did the phone. They resolved this by upgrading us to a fantastic suite! Overall, we would definitely stay here again. The rooms were clean and comfortable and we appreciate the more "dated" charm of older hotels.
