Very clean and great beach access. Nice size room. Area is a bit busy but easy access to restaurants. Will stay again. Front desk was very helpful, but didn’t get a room refresh after requesting one. Plenty of parking and they even have beach chairs you can take to the beach.

We had a great stay at drifting sands! The bed was large and comfortable. The room was as pictured. The beach tags were allowed to be used after check out at 11am until 4pm which was so convenient!

The hotel was very affordable compared to other hotels in the area. We loved that it was right off the beach and very convenient to get to restaurants and convenient stores. The staff was very friendly and quick to respond when we needed additional items in the room such as towels, toilet paper, etc. I do wish that they had a safe in the room to store valuable items, and that they vacuumed the rooms when cleaning since sand gets everywhere. Overall, our family enjoyed staying here and we would definitely recommend it!

Drifting Sands = Awesomeness

First, adjust your expectations. This is a beach motel, not the Ritz Carlton.You'll get a clean exterior entrance room, an option for an upper floor balcony to watch the surf and a place to lay your head after you come back from doing what you're there for...which shouldn't be lounging in a plush hotel. It's the beach. The staff is friendly, the desk is staffed 24/7, they have coffee in the morning and will even give you towels to use on the beach. The only thing that wasn' ok was booking through Hotels.com. They charged an additional $55 per night compared to booking directly with the property, and then refused to honor their price guarantee when called on it. There is no value added here.

Overall it was a decent stay. It’s a great location, very walkable to all your types of needs. I liked the bathroom and the patio was nice. The only thing I didn’t like was there was two huge wet stains in my room (one by the bed and one by the AC) on the rug floor. I just put towels over the stains and it didn’t bother me too much but they should do something about it before it starts to get moldy.
