Hotel was outdated. No complementary breakfast or free coffee in rooms. Queen double sweet only 2 pillows, no remote for TV. Dirty curtains and rugs. No hot water in sinks. Outside no attention or attempt to keep common areas clean. Trash, empty drinks, dead bird, homeless people sleeping in corner. Restaurant options minimal and over priced for the quality of food. Paid $420.00 for 2 nights plus additional $211.00 for incidental fee that I still have not been reimbursed for. Had to pay for parking through an app. No gambling in hotel had to go to casinos next door.

I have never experienced such a filthy unprofessional dishonest and terribly run organization. It's not the front line staff. It's the people running the rules and the companies misson. It's a toxic operation all around stay away from this hotel. Pay extra money for one that doesn't have these kind of ratings. I learned a very hard lesson.

I would rate the Showboat Hotel zero stars if possible. The overall cleanliness was extremely poor the carpets were dirty, the beds did not have fitted sheets, and the bathroom had plumbing issues with the shower not draining properly. Additionally, there were not enough towels or washcloths provided. Overall, the stay was very disappointing and did not meet basic expectations of comfort or quality.

We had a great time playing in the arcade and at the waterpark during our stay at showboat. The staff was very fried ly and helpful and the front desk even took some money off our stay for having to wait in line to check in. The only downside was that a lot of little things around the hotel were out of order and broken. Several elevators were out of service or the buttons didn't all work, two lamps in our room didn't work at all, one of the two queen beds was very worn and uncomfortable. There were no fitted sheets on either bed for some reason. While there were some hiccups, I really would recommend this hotel to young families for the fun and kid friendly entertainment. This hotel feels a lot safer than most of the other resorts on the boardwalk for kids. We will definitely visit again, but I hope some of the broken things get fixed.

When we first arrived it was about 9:00 in the evening. Pretty calm. Nothing crazy. We checked in and went to our rooms. The rooms in the view was lovely but then when you laid in the beds it felt like you were staying at a cheap hotel. The mattress had flat sheets posed as fitted sheets on the bed and the mattresses were uncomfortable. Additionally, the next morning when trying to leave at checkout at 11:00 a.m. we had to wait approximately 45 minutes for four of six elevators to have available space for us to check out. We stood at the elevator for about 30 minutes waiting to check out. Some people rolled up just to ride back down because of the limited availability on those elevators. Just when I was calling to contact the front front desk staff to ask if we can stay in our rooms longer while waiting all this time since my 2-year-old had to use the bathroom that's when the elevator became available. Although the hotel is family friendly, I should have spent the extra money and went to Tropicana where I've never encountered an issue. This will be my first and last day at this hotel. I wish I had photos to show that I'm not exaggerating but I was honestly too upset and just wanted the day to be over. One of the upsides I would say is that it's right on the boardwalk so you don't have to worry about finding parking. Additionally, the front desk staff made check-in seamlessly. But yes, I will not be staying there again

Showboat is convenient for access to the Boardwalk and to Ocean and Hard Rock. The entry to Showboat is usually noisy and crowded, and the elevators were slow (were they all working? -- not sure). The room was very comfortable and clean, and the air conditioning worked well. The neighbors upstairs made a lot of noise ( I think they had a pet who was dropping one of those large rawhide bones on the floor while chewing it. ) Overall, room was good, but there is a lot of noise around the hotel.

DO NOT STAY HERE….. if you book through Travelocity, you will have no control to check in or if they double book you. The hotel double booked and sold our room. We prepaid and could not check in blind. This hotel has gone down hill. The front desk “said” they would refund our booking. They did not and Travelocity would not honor a refund for paying for a room that we could not use. If you do book here I recommend trying ( if you get through) booking direct and NEVER PAY UPFRONT. Otherwise you will have to deal with a cc dispute and a claim to the bbb. Good luck!!
