We checked into this hotel after getting off of a cruise ship. I was afraid that we would have to wait around for hours before getting a room but luckily they were able to check us in early. The rooms are very dated but i could tell that they were working on some renovations. It wasn't a bad stay but I will probably look for something a little more up to date if I'm ever back in the area.

Reaching for a $20.34

Hi. We impromptu decided to book and stay for a night with my daughter. The service was nice at the front desk. We went to our room after a long day, our room's bathroom was flooded with water and i wanted to call the front desk but our phone was disconnected. When i connected the phone, it wasn't working at all so i texted a number that had previously welcomed us to our stay, but no feedback justa text asking us if everything was okay. Then nothing at all. So in the morning. We threw in some towels on the floor to call it a night. Then in the morning more water was leaking in our bathroom floor . We checked out and the lasy at the front desk was nice and apologized for the inconvenience. She gave us a discounted of $20.34 but said she couldn't apply it because we had booked under a third party??? She told me to request thus $20.34 through YOU. But in her computer it showed Expedia NOT Hotels.com. Please help.

We have stayed at this hotel multiple times now prior to cruise and have never been disappointed. This is the only place we will stay at in Tampa now. Made the mistake of trying another place and the other place was absolutely horrible. SureStay isn't a 5 star hotel but it is clean, the staff is great and they have a pretty good breakfast that is included. The air was good and cold, the floor in room was clean enough to walk around barefoot and feet doesn't get dirty and you have a microwave and mini fridge. They also supply full size pump bottles of Salon Selectives shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion.

The location is very convenient to major roads and amenities (food, gas, etc). My room was cleaned daily. I wasn’t too happy with customer service - while everyone was polite, they weren’t very helpful. Though I had cancelled a previous reservation made through Hotels.com, this wasn’t reflected in the hotel’s reservation system and I was given the run-around to essentially do what I had already done. It would be nice if cancellations made through the same third-party platform used to make the reservation were shared or communicated with the hotel property.

I was a bit later than usual for checking, and got notified that it was cancelled. I call the front desk and then they immediately rectified the situation and uncancelled my reservation and had my room ready in minutes. Only downside was the water pressure for the sink, other than that this was a great stay.
