"So good to have laundry facilities! We didn’t need to use the dryer as the weather took care of I’m drying our clothes for us. Excellent to be SO close to Old City, the Lake, CN Tower, Blue Jays stadium and Sankofa Square and all the public transport we could need. Lots of opportunity to people watch on Jarvis; never a dull moment, EVER!"

"Renovated hotel with contemporary vibe - provided a comfortable bed and effective air conditioning during a warm weather period in Toronto. The room was clean and relatively quiet, with several options for dimming lights in the room and a clever fold-down desk near the bed. There was a bit of recurring vehicle noise in the middle of the night, that sounded like large trucks picking up garbage - don't know where they were located though. After checkout, I appreciated the option to leave my luggage at the hotel desk for a few hours (free service), until it was time to go to airport. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit."

"Location was convenient. There’s no parking on site but directly across the street- parking was very affordable. The staff was readily available, accommodating and all so kind. My children loved the breakfast the most! Riu is definitely worth booking."

"I would stay here again! The room was basic but they provided toiletries (towels, shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, lotion). There's not really any housekeeping so I hung my towels up on the shower bar and hooks for the second day-- and on the evening of day 2 I asked at reception for fresh towels (and used those for the next 2 days til I left). It works, especially if you don't want to pay double/triple their nightly rate. Also had to go down to ask for another toilet paper roll, etc, but if you see you're getting low just plan ahead to ask, they never said no to me for anything. There's no coffee maker in the room and the 7/11 around the corner will be closing at the end of June 2026, so you've got a Tim Hortons or other cafes if you need coffee/tea in the morning. This was a prime location for me and the lack of coffee maker (in the standard room) was the only real downside for me, so I will be bringing a pour-over drip cone next time and microwave the water in the common room (not fancy, but I'm a zombie until cup #2). Especially for tourists I would have loved to have a fridge in the room, even a tiny one, even if I'd had to pay an extra deposit for it and it be brought to the room after I checked in. That would have been very useful for us especially coming in from out of town It's within 1 block of Spadina station & across the street from tram 510 so that's handy for out of town travellers. No one was loud in the halls and the reception staff were super nice!"

"Very nice hotel in a great location. Close enough to walk to all sorts of activities. Received a complimentary breakfast. Parking was convenient but a little overpriced. Rooms were decent with very comfortable beds. Bathroom was a bit dated."
