Like most Fairmonts, very dated. This one definitely gets the express cleaning job. There was old business notes from the previous guest left behind and the base of the toilet was gross. The shower shuts off intermittently while using it.

Room near elevators...dont do it if you want sleep

The noise level was so loud and everytime someone came off the elevator their voices carried and echod all the way down the hall. There was a wedding and it seemed like the party was on our floor. Avoid being near the elevator to avoid the feeling like people are walking atraight through your room everytime they get off.

Bitterly disappointed

Booked this room to go to a concert that was cancelled. Kept the room (non-refundable). Hotel emailed to ask about the special occasion - parental bday - and they’d like to “do something” for my mother. Nothing happened. Why even email? Check in was a wait as lots of people were at hotel for 1pm. They gave us a room early. Very kind. Room smelled of damp. Concierge and maintenance did nothing. Carpet was wet. In the end we opened the window and lumped it. Disappointing as I love the Savoy (Fairmont) and wanted this to be an amazing stay. Was disappointed. Highlight - we went to the library for a cocktail. Our martini was made incorrectly and changed immediately. Extra brine and olives brought over. Lovely touch. View of CN TOWER and Rogers was great. Overall - this isn’t the Royal York stay I wanted and disappointed with the room. Old and scuffed. Soggy floor was gross. View great. Love Le Labo products. Not worth money or need better room to make it worth money.
