I flew into Jacksonville a day early (to avoid a major snowstorm in my region) for a winter conference at a different resort and I needed a place to stay. I did not want to stay at an airport hotel. I loved that I could book a great room at a great rate, all last minute. I wanted to stay on the beach with a window facing the ocean, so I could watch the waves while I stayed cozy in my room catching up on work. The front desk upgraded me to a corner suite, which was pretty great. The hotel was quiet Staff was pleasant. The food at the bar/restaurant was good. It was a great choice. I will have to come back - either in the winter again, or in the summer when things are more hopping.

All of the staff except for one were outstanding. The room was spotless and the view was stunning. Our room, #402 was poorly maintained. The lovely work desk with the chargers and outlets did’t work at all. I thought it was an outlet issue since other outlets in the room didn’t work. Staff brought me a 10+ ft extention cord that did work, so I was able to work eventually. The lights all connected to the master outlet in the entry and another master switch was near the bedroom. So the person that sleeps on the thin, lumpy, squeaky sofa bed can’t turn the bedside lamp on and off unless they get out bed and walk into the entry or near the bedroom. The shower was tiny so you can’t shower with the showerhead unless you want to get your hair wet - you can’t step back anywhere. The hand held shower head doesn’t fit in the holder so you have to hold it in tour hand. The furnace clangs on and off and the fan is incredibly loud. We thought it was an alarm of some kind the first time. We didn’t sleep well due to the noise. The king bed was very comfortable and clean but the sofa bed was really way overdue for a decent sofabed mattress. We reported everything and we were told by the staff that brought us the long heavy duty red extension cord that a maintenence man would visit and make all of the repairs but it was a lie.
This is rthe extension cord I was given so that I could work at the desk since the desk didn’t have power in the outlets or chargers.

Hotel had a very nice lobby and the rooms were nice. The beds were comfortable. The only thing that was difficult was the parking, it was valet only unless you can find a spot around the hotel, which are scarce. Love staying there!

The staff was pretty rude. I love Margaritaville so much but specifically the women at the front (I forget her name- she has glasses) was very rude. I got engaged this time and I was planning to have my wedding there but now I don’t know just because of that. We also had blood on our sheets but she did replace them, which was good. Everything else was good!
