• Security cameras are located outside and will be on. 1 camera at the front door, and 2 on fence posts looking to the back at the fence line. NO cameras face the back decks or spa and there are NO cameras inside.

Check in was the most horrific I have ever experienced. I booked this property for a birthday weekend with some friends. When I booked through VRBO, I got an instant confirmation along with an odd message with a second confirmation number. I had asked a question about the hot tub cleanliness, the type of coffee maker, and a few other questions. There was no reply at all. The day before check-in, I was looking for my check-in instructions. There was nothing. I sent a message through my booking on VRBO, and got no reply. I had to search the internet for the property manager then reach out to them that way. At the same time, I was trying to get information about check in through VRBO, and an AI bot told me told me to reach out to the property. I got a message from the property manager ('Hosteeva') that I had a bunch of documents to sign. Note that this was LESS THAN 12 HOURS prior to our arrival. I finally got confirmation and check-in instructions just a few hours before check-in. I got an answer about the coffee maker during my drive there. It was broken when we arrived. The night before check-out, while eating dinner with friends, I got a message to check-out BEFORE 10am. Odd when VRBO showed check out was 11am. My friend and I got bitten by mosquitoes due to holes in the screens. There was an OPEN box of sugar with ants crawling in it. Dried food on utensils. The house was cute inside, the hot tub was nice, but the experience was pretty horrible.

Cute Cottage!

We enjoyed our 13 nights at Kelly’s Kottage. The location was nice as most places we were able to walk to. The neighborhood is quiet and the house is cozy with comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen. The back and front yard could use a little TLC as well as the outdoor furniture.

From the moment we arrived, it felt like a perfect winter getaway. The highlight of our trip was soaking in the jacuzzi at night—pure bliss under the starry sky after a day of adventure. Our Australian Shepherd had the time of his life playing in the huge backyard, bounding through the snow with endless excitement. It was his first time seeing snow, and he couldn’t get enough of it! During the day, we hit the slopes for some snowboarding, and the cabin’s location made it so easy to get out and enjoy the mountain. The place was warm, welcoming, and had everything we needed to unwind. We’re already counting down the days until we can return next year

Cabin is located in a very walkable part of town. Made walks with my dog easy. Found most of the comforts we needed for our short getaway. Property manager is very responsive so it made our few hicccups a quick solve. Definitely recommend!

Big Bear vibes

Overall great stay. Very cute cabin with great deck in the back and a definite Big Bear feel! A few things not the same as the picture and there were maintenance issues that needed to be brought up (broken chair and lifted deck boards) that were dangerous. No cleaning supplies beyond dish soap. Would definitely stay there again though.

If you don’t mind very rustic, hard beds, and ants you’ll love it.

We go to Big Bear often in the winter. This was our first summer vacation there. We enjoyed the lake, hikes and biking. And we appreciated that the cabin had Netflix. But that was about the extent of what we enjoyed in the cabin itself. The photos of the cabin made it look bigger than it really was. The cabin was a bit too dark, small and rustic for us. The ants, spider webs, and uncomfortable beds made it difficult to stay. Sadly for those reasons, we left a day early.
