Private setting minutes away from Tahoe City, at the end of a cul-de-sac, on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe. Beautiful old-growth forest surrounds the home.

Original home built in the 70's with new addition completed in 2007. Lowest level features 2 new bedrooms and full bath plus family room with flat screen TV, great for kids!

One bedroom with California King bed, flat screen TV, and sliding doors out to a lower balcony. 2nd bedroom with bunked twin beds and stand-alone twin bed, plus sliding doors to the lower balcony. Shared full bath off family room plus a powder room and laundry room on the same floor.

Up to the main floor, living area with plush leather couch and love-seat, HD flat screen TV with YouTube TV, Roku and Netflix, Swedish fireplace, dining table for 8-10, great Trex deck with gas BBQ and distant peek-of-lake views. Newly renovated kitchen, fully functional and scenic woodsy view through the window. High-speed internet is available in the whole house.

Bedroom on the main floor with full bed and shared bath in the hall.

Top level accessed by open stairs with metal railing, offers two more bedrooms: front room with California King Bed; back bedroom with two full beds. Shared bath in the hall.

This is house is ideally located close to Tahoe City, skiing, biking trails and within walking distance to restaurants. Come to Woodland Retreat and make wonderful memories!

Sorry, the garage is not available. PARKING IS LIMITED TO 2 LARGE OR 3 SMALL CARS IN THE DRIVEWAY. THERE IS NO ON-STREET PARKING AT ANY TIME OF YEAR.

• Collect all trash and dispose of it in the bear-proof bin or dumpster outside Do NOT leave the key in bear-proof bin door Let us know if the bear-proof bin is too full to put all your trash inside
• Turn thermostat down to 55 (do not turn off!) • Turn lights off, secure and lock all doors and windows • Turn on electric Bear Fencing (if applicable) • Return keys to HRG Lockbox.

Fantastic property

I stayed at this amazing house with a big group of friends and it was a fantastic place to stay! If ever I am in Tahoe with a large group I will absolutely book this place again. Very spacious

Beds and linens are very comfortable. Kitchen is well-equipped. Convenient location. Excellent deck. Two family rooms. Overall this is an excellent vacation house. A few negatives: Steps going to top floor are a bit slippery and wouldn’t recommend for the elderly. Internet is spotty. Visited in summer and top floor bedrooms got quite warm during the day.

Great house for a big family

We visited Lake Tahoe with our family from the Netherlands and the house was perfect for a family of 10. Grandma stayed on the main floor and one family was upstairs while the other was downstairs. The main family room was great for shared meals. Check-in process was easy and very clear. The house is located close to Lake Tahoe and we loved Meeks Bay. Would definitely recommend if staying with a large family again.

Be cautious of the stairs

We had some elderly relatives who live nearby who were going to visit us, and it's a good thing they didn't, because they never could have navigated the stairs. That's the one thing people looking for a rental should be aware of with this property.

Nice property .. few glitches.

Our fam of 6 adults and 2 little ones under 5 stayed here. Very spacious! But beware of lotsa stairs! One concern - The room my adult daughter and I were sharing had two queen (?) beds in it.. only thing, is the room is A-frame and is not big enough to safely accommodate two beds.. the bed I was using is very close to the wall.. very first night, I got up in the dark and hit my forehead pretty hard on the thick wooden support beam .. still hurts a week later! House also has electrical wiring issues., can’t use both electric outlets on both sides of kitchen sink w/o tripping a circuit.. and ceiling lights over dining table regularly flicker when dishwasher cycle kicks in., Heating not uniform either.. bedroom on the main floor near kitchen where thermostat is, gets exceedingly hot while bedrooms on other levels. (Even after we closed the register.) On a good note- When we did need fo contact the property manager couple of times, they were very responsive and helpful,.. we dId in appreciate that!

Very nice and spacious property. Well maintained. Close to the lake and various snow play areas. Lots of space for a big group and each room had space heaters. Would stay here again. Stairs are steep, just a heads up for those with little tots.

Never stayed in Tahoe City before, and staying at this property made me want to come back for sure. I wish I could've stayed longer. The property was very clean and bigger than I thought. The location was pretty centralized to everything.

Perfect close to everything

This place is amazing everything is close by, the cabin was big enough for 2 families & teens. Check in was quick & easy to communicate with the property management. Cabin was clean when we arrived & the balcony was perfect for our BBQ. We relax, & enjoy the beautiful view of Tahoe city. We will definitely stay in this place again & I will recommend it to anyone visiting Lake Tahoe.

Great place for big families!

Great place to house a big family! We had plenty of space and everyone had a comfortable place to sleep. The neighborhood is really cute and quiet. Location is close to the lake and eateries. We rode our bikes right to the bike path!

Beautiful, large and clean home. The listing is very accurate. Wonderful location - close to the center of Tahoe City and very private. Prepare for wi-fi dead spots but it encouraged us to be present for each other. The Hauserman Rental Group was very quick to resolve our lone concern - replaced the coffee maker. Hope to return in the future!
