Stoughton Hotel & Travel Guide\n
Stoughton is a town in Massachusetts about 20 miles south of Boston. Founded back in 1726, it was named for the chief justice in the Salem Witch Trials, William Stoughton. It began as an agricultural region but developed a strong shoe making industry as time went on. Today, the town features a pleasant residential atmosphere as well as many green spaces. A stay in one of the lovely Stoughton hotels will help you learn more about this historic area just south of the state's capital.
Visiting Stoughton
From Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), it's easy to reach Stoughton by public transit. Take Boston's subway system, locally called the "T," to South Station, where you can connect to the commuter rail. From here, purchase a ticket for the Stoughton line and ride all the way to the last stop. You can reserve one of the rental cars near Stoughton to help you get around, or hire one back at the airport. Once you arrive and drop off your bags in one of the hotels in Stoughton MA, head over to the Stoughton Historical Society to get a feel for the historical context of the area. It's also interesting to visit the Mary Baker Eddy Historic House, where the founder of Christian Science lived for two years and completed "The Science of Man," a booklet where she first introduced her ideas about religion. As long as you're passing through Boston, why not sample some of the charms of the city? There are many great deals on hotels near Boston where you can stay after a visit to the Museum of Science or the USS Constitution.
