"Nice hotel overall, but the bathrooms need help"
Keeping in mind the hotel was under renovation during out stay, there was still an excess of dust in the hallways, elevator and on the walls. The staff was very nice and helpful though, and they were quite good about moving cars in order to get in and out of the crowded parking area in the back. The bathrooms were clean but terrible. The shower head was weak, and the tub would fill with water while showering because the drains were not working properly. We had to flush the toilet several times whenever we used it because there was not enough water pressure to get the job done. The location was impeccable though, and we would stay there again without hesitation, as it is probably the best price in the area for the quality of hotel that it is. It was very quiet and there was a lot of privacy in our room which was the standard queen.

"Beautiful stay in Boston"
Spent 4th of July weekend in historic Boston! Hotel exceeded our expectations! Was a little concerned with staying at 2nd oldest hotel in city, but was totally updated, modern and inviting! Received room upgrade for hotel anniversary, staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly! There was so much to see in city we could not see as much of the history of the city as we would have liked....cannot wait to go back!

"Unusual hotel, centrally located."
The hotel's location is good in that it is handy to getting to sites. The fact that the building's structure is very long and only two-stories high makes it unusual----for Boston. It was built in 1962. Our room's bathroom's electrical switches has obviously been reconfigured from the original. The room was spacious and the large window could be opened to allow in fresh air. Staff was very helpful and alert.
