"Not bad for the price"
The good: nice queen beds, surprised to see a microwave and mini fridge. Room was spacious, air conditioner worked well. The bad: Four cops in and around the lobby trying to catch a bad guy for the first few hours. No coffee maker in room. Came down to breakfast in the morning, coffee machine not working. Asked for help, the worker opened it to try to fix it, and to our surprise we could see they had run decaf in both dispensers the day before (one is supposed to be decaf, the other regular), I bet the cops were disappointed if they were drinking it! Also the worker didn't know how to fix it and said we had to wait until 8:30. The bathroom was strangely shaped and definitely a one butt bathroom. You almost had to turn sideways to get past the sink.

"Always wanted to stay here"
My husband and I were so excited to finally be able to afford a stay at the liberty. We found a great sale and jumped on the opportunity. It's a beautiful place, we've always loved Alibi, we even have friends who married on the balcony there. The room was great, small but comfortable. The window faced directly into office space at MGH, and it was really close too. We had to keep the blinds closed. I took off my shoes and stepped on a wet spot in the carpet, tried to turn on the light by the window and the bulb must have been out because it didn't work. The next night we bought a bottle of wine from the local place around the corner, because the bar charges $14 for a glass of wine that the entire bottle was only $11. We went to use the glasses available in the room and there were lip prints all over one. My husband noticed that the cocktails shaker was also sticky with old alcohol. all the problems were small and we didn't call concierge to complain, maybe we should have? Otherwise the room was nice, the hotel was convenient to the T, the bar and restaurants are nice but way too expensive. I don't think we'll stay there again though. I want a place that's this expensive to be perfect.

"Good location"
Thought the staff very friendly and helpful. The junior suite was very comfortable. I liked having 2 restaurants attached. I did think that breakfast being served only til 9am was inconvenient ( brunch kicked in though) but the kitchen was accommodating. Parking a little steep but the whole experience overall was wonderful

"Fantastic Hotel Experience in the Heart of Boston"
I planned a five day stay in downtown Boston for the purpose of a vacation. Many of the hotels I looked at seemed more modern and minimalist and I was looking to find a place that had some character to it. The Lenox Hotel has character to spare! From the minute we were helped by the valets to the front desk and concierge, the one thing that comes to mind is "quality". The hotel itself is beautiful inside and has a real "1920s" kind of feel. We took advantage of the sitting/public area, the handy ticket printing feature (accessible via smart phones/tablets, etc.) to print tickets for the symphony, the bar, room service and the valet parking. All of those features were fantastic. The sitting area had comfortable chairs and is right in the middle of things so you can people watch if that's your thing. The bar has a good selection of alcohols, beers and wines and room service was prompt and accurate. The valet deserves special attention because he went out of his way to share information with us about the area, made good suggestions about restaurants and bars, was friendly and volunteered to call a swanky north end restaurant on our behalf when my daughter left her purse there. This hotel is right in the middle of everything. The T is around the corner, shopping on Newbury street is a block away and there are plenty of restaurants/bars/pubs and shopping right nearby. The location is really phenomenal.
