Searchlight Hotel & Travel Guide
With a population of around 500 people, tiny Searchlight, Nevada, may not be the typical Las Vegas visitor's idea of a good time, but for those that love the serenity and beauty of the desert, it may be the perfect destination. Huddled around the crossroads of two highways, Searchlight is an old gold-mining town lying in the valley between two mountain ranges. There aren't many Searchlight hotels, so picking the right one will be easy, and from there your desert adventure can begin.
Visiting Searchlight
When visiting Searchlight, you'll fly into McCarran International Airport (LAS), located just north of town. After you've landed, there are a few options to get to Searchlight from the airport. First, you can find a car rental at the airport, but if you would rather check out the options for car rentals in Searchlight, you can hail a taxi or simply reserve a ride on the Aloha Airport Express, which will shuttle you into town. Once you've arrived, you can see if any of the Searchlight resorts are to your liking, then go out and explore. This being Nevada, there's a spot to roll the dice right in the middle of town. After hitting the tables for a while, head to the eastern part of town to see the Searchlight Historic Museum. Here, you'll find artifacts and ephemera that show Searchlight in all its glory, when it was a boomtown, growing in leaps and bounds in the early 1900s. After spending the day in Searchlight, some visitors may crave the nightlife in "Sin City," and plenty of Las Vegas hotels can put you right back in the middle of the action.

"The staff had amazing personalities and were very helpful. Rooms were great for the price. It was nice to see security there monitoring making sure people were following f the rules which made the stay even more enjoyable. The amenities were great the pool, the beach access near the jet ski rentals was very convenient. The bumbleberry cafe has amazing brunch buffet on the weekends and the food is delicious! Had an amazing time and would definitely stay here again for sure. We stayed in a suite that had a bar inside it and our family members stayed in the connected rooom next door and their room was quite nice with a beautiful seating area for socializing. It was nice that both rooms were a little different."
