"Enjoyed our stay at the Plaza!"
Our first night of stay we were short on towels. There was not a coffee pot in our room. The safe in our room did not work and we called the staff for two days to come fix it. They never did fix the safe during our 4 day stay.

"Would Change Existing Reservations to Stay Here"
This was our second time at this hotel. We enjoyed it the first time but really used no services. Yes, the room was clean and modern and totally acceptable though. BUT our second time was the charm! We needed the concierge -VIP- services! Jazz was the guy there helping and I tell you I got more help than I knew was even available! Ride to the airport (which was on time and courteous and reasonable rate), airline ticket print out and could have made seat choices if I had needed it and even had a wake up call set up! Jazz was ready to help us with suggestions to go and do all sorts of things had we wanted that! Never have we had such friendly and helpful service from a concierge! Check-in was friendly and also offered us extra help if we needed it. The valet! Again - very kind and sister is handicapped and all help and kindness is a specially appreciated. We have been in more than a few hotels that did not have any consideration for handicapped. In December we have reservations elsewhere that we are looking to change so we can stay where we know the rooms are clean, modern and the staff is helpful and friendly. We did eat in the restaurant - very good and had live music that was good and sang familiar stuff! A 5 STARS out of 5 Stars!

"The 4 Queens was good to us "
It was my daughters 21st birthday so I wanted her to have the Freemont Street experience. The room was comfortable and the staff was super nice. Valet was so easy and convenient too. The only thing I did not like was the sink in our room. It looked like a jail sink, it was clogged , then it started leaking at the bottom. We had to put towels on the floor. The sink was not that big a deal when we look back at the amount of fun we had. I would stay there again just because the price was good and the location was great.

"Great hotel right in the middle of everything."
A friend recommended us this hotel saying that it was great and cheap wich its right. I had a billing issue that I'm still trying to resolve but other than that is a highly recommendable hotel. It's in Fremont st wich is the old strip of Vegas wich I like better than the actual strip. Th room was nice and clean, it's a little louder at night but it's because is Vegas and your in the main st. We enjoyed staying there.

One complaint: I booked a double room for two people; the room only had one wash cloth and one hand towel. Two people do not and should not share towels.

The hotel advertises that there are no alarm clocks in the room -- which is true. But, there wasn't a phone either! Luckily, I didn't have any problems needing a call to the front desk. Make sure to have a cell phone with you if you are planning to stay here. The hotel has lots of character -- a "living room" in the Gold Point building with a bed to sprawl out on. The "back yard" has different play areas including an Airstream trailer. Talk about nostalgia! The property has two buildings -- a motel style (i.e., outdoor walkway entry to the room) and the Tower building with an interior hallway. I stayed in the Tower room, which was recently redone in a contemporary style, though some things were just odd. The switch to turn on the desk lamp was on the cord and behind the desk making it very difficult to reach. The TV channel guide in the room did not match the channel order on the TV. The missing vertical vane on the blinds made for a very bright room early in the morning. The limited electrical outlets in the room are all used by the items in the room -- a power strip is hidden underneath the chest. Only 2 coffee vouchers are provided at check-in and can be redeemed at the Fiddlestix cafe in the Gold Point building. Parking at the Neapolitan parking garage located across the street is included in the stay. There is a small pay-by-the-hour parking lot on the property with a few spaces reserved for hotel registration.

    Downtown Las Vegas Hotel Guide

We all have a flamboyant streak, and no destination sets the confetti free quite like Las Vegas. In fact, if the city had a spirit animal, that would likely be Kesha, who said, “When you’re around me, you’re going to get glitter on you.” The same can be said of Las Vegas, the home of sequin-splashed shows and bright neon signs. You don’t even have to spend your time at the slot machines to be swimming in sparkles. North of the infamous Vegas Strip, the downtown district offers a mix of museums, mansions, and yes, several casinos where you can court lady luck. Book our downtown Las Vegas hotels and let us answer a couple of your burning questions.

Wondering what to do in Vegas besides gambling?

Las Vegas is hub of performing arts, fine dining, and scenic hiking—yes, hiking. So, when you’d rather wander away from casino-clad Fremont Street or the constant chi-ching of the Strip, explore local history and culture at the Mob Museum, which is exactly what it sounds like—a hands-on tour of organized crime. Brimming with intrigue. Nearby, the Neon Museum offers a colorful foray through the elements and electricity that contribute to Vegas’ brightest moments. You’re about to gather some glowing memories yourself.

On the south side of downtown, amble through the old city. Hartland Mansion could tell some of the most opulent stories Vegas has ever experienced. Built in the 1940s, this vintage manor hosts weddings, events, and film crews. If you’ve seen Robert De Niro in “Casino,” you’ve seen Hartland Mansion. Get your hands on some coveted art show tickets for a peek at the glamorous interior…or get married right there on the green velour staircase. If you’re looking for something lavish to do, that is.

Just 15 miles northwest of downtown, Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area outshines the gambling of Sin City. Breathe in the fresh air as you trek through the mountainous landscape layered in rustic hues of red, umber, and rich sienna. Watch the sun set in violet stripes across the horizon before you head back to your pick of our Las Vegas downtown hotels—maybe The D Las Vegas strikes your fancy—the luxury is even sweeter after a day in the great outdoors.

When is the best time of year to visit Las Vegas?

Las Vegas is a fabulous vacation destination year-round. September through May—yes, that’s nine months of the year—boast warmth, sweet sunshine, and lots of outdoor events, including the annual wine fest Vegas Uncork’d (April). June through August can roll in with heat waves, but there are plenty of pools and indoor shows to help you keep cool by day until the sun goes down and the streets light up.

Let your sparkly side shine in the City of Lights. Book cheap hotels in downtown Las Vegas with Travelocity; we promise to offer or match the best prices available. And if the Strip is calling your name, consider The Palazzo Resort Hotel & Casino or other accommodations south of the city center, and follow the gusts of glitter.
