Honestly Would Try Vrbo Again, But Would Not Reccomend It Because of the Dishonesty of This Listing
The owner was okay with communication and I appreciate that they were willing to help me resolve issues, but everything was so terribly unprofessional I honestly wish I would’ve just sucked it up and paid for a hotel after this experience. To start off, the reason I booked with Vrbo was under the understanding that I would not be staying with other people and I could relax on my own. Walls are also thin as paper, so I would get spooked that there was another person in my room, because they have other people renting with them and randomly, I would hear yelling while settling in to sleep. Also arriving and departing, I had issues. Key code was not given to me despite the host telling me they would send it to me 4 hours prior to check in and by the time of check in, they still did not have the place clean. Their excuse was that because I did not send them an ETA, they did not have the place clean. However, I was never asked for an ETA and regardless, they decide the check in time, so they are obligated to abide by it. Also not a fan how they tried to blame me for not giving them my arrival information beforehand. Furthermore, I notified them that I would be leaving soon the day that my stay was ending, but not when I was leaving. I forgot something in the room and 18 minutes later, I came back to grab it. It was already gone. I guess the helper there heard me leave and thought I had left it for her. This all happened before the official check out time.
