Front desk lady was very friendly and helpful. Hotel inside has been upgraded and is clean. Only minor issue was our room was on the 3rd floor and the elevator only went up 2 floors.

Although there are several no smoking signs throughout the property, it has a strong cigarette smell.

The property is filthy and run down. It is considered a public nuisance because of the number of calls the police get from that location. There was no cover on the bathroom light fixture, no screen on the window, no trash can in the room, it reeked of smoke, and it was not cleaned during my unfortunate two night stay. I would have checked out after the first night if there had been anything else available within 50 miles. I cannot believe that Travelocity considers this property acceptable to list.

The hotel condition looks terrible. Even worse, when I got there after 5 hours of driving, I was told they didn't have the room for me. After I show them my booking from Travelocity, they said they didn't see it in the system. Luckily after a while of conversation, the manager found a room from a small Inn for me to spend the night.

My husband checked in after getting out of the hospital (he had his neck fused completely). And the reseponist said your legs work fine you can walk to the 3rd floor. Then they messed up the reservation blaming Travelocity. He had to go to 3 rooms before finding one that had 2 beds. They charged us for having my husband's service dog that is against Federal law. The rooms were not clean.

A Hotel of Last Resort, or Only Resort

Pros: Except for the mattresses and smoke in one room, the rooms were very clean.
Cons: New mattresses. An enforced non-smoking policy. Easier access to staff. Room servicing at least once every day or so (including toilet paper).
Location: There are tons of places to explore. Hiking and outdoor activities are everywhere.
There are few options in Palmer, AK, so I and 3 other family members stayed here while visiting family. The front desk was rarely attended; although, if anyone in the hotel saw us standing at the front desk, they would find us someone to help. When help arrived the staff was very friendly. The hotel was non-smoking, but I saw a girl walk right past me with a lit cigarette. While two of the three rooms smelled fresh, one room had clearly been smoked in for years. The rooms, on surface, seemed to be incredibly clean. While the beds and pillows were very comfortable and the sheets were clean, when we lifted the sheets to the beds on our last day we found them incredibly soiled and foul. We wanted to know the brand of mattress, and wish we hadn't. Our rooms were not serviced a single time during the week. We had to leave notes on the unattended counter for everything from clogged sinks to towels to the simplest of things like toilet paper. On two nights a motorcycle was parked inside the hallway. I would guess that the hotel has long-term residents in addition to room rentals. We didn't expect a Hyatt, and, I would have given the room a higher review and even a recommendation had it not been for the soil and foulness of the mattress and the smoke. The rooms were very clean, staff was helpful when we engaged them, our requests were addressed each day, and it was very convenient. But, the thought of having slept on such dirty mattresses on top of all the issues is disturbing.

good downtown location

Pros: I was satisfied with the hotel but, feel it needs upgrades. A single woman would feel uncomfortable
Cons: building, parking lot, customers, general upgrade. they were friendly
Location: right in downtown, thought that was great
i appreciated the price but, was not a very nice place.
