Best hotel in Palm Springs

Pros: Friendly staff, luxurious rooms
Cons: There could be more food and beverage variety at the 4:00 reception time. Chips and salsa ran out and were not replenished.
The hotel staff was amazing - every single person who works there was friendly, asked me how I'm doing, and they were beyond helpful. The room was SO nice and luxurious. I almost spent too much time in my room and not enough time getting out and about because the room was so beautiful and comfortable. The hotel was very clean. One thing I noticed in particular was how quiet it was in the evening and nighttime. I loved to valet guys - they knew my name after one day (even after I forgot to tip a couple of time - but I made it up to them.) I highly recommend this facility.

No parking ?

Pros: Location
Cons: Poorly designed shower area.
Location: Access to virtually all of "downtown "......shops, restaurants, etc.
Valet parking only ( $25 ) unless you want to park 1/8 of a mile from the hotel. Coffee maker unplugged and cound not prepare coffee unless I moved dresser. Bath/shower leaked. Getting into and out of the shower an adventure.

Great location but in need of upgrading

Pros: the hotel staff, complimentary drink coupons:), hotel restaurant
Cons: pool and outdoor furniture and environment, hallway and room maintenance
Location: GREAT LOCATION DOWNTOWN- plenty of restaurants and shops
Overall our experience was nice for a short stay. The hotel staff was great for the most part- all friendly and helpful! That staff was probably the best thing about the hotel! The hotel lobby is nice and modern in a minimalist sort of way. But the disappointing thing is the rest of the hotel didn't look as good- the elevator, hallways and outdoor entry to our room gave it the feeling of a 2 star motel! It definitely needs to be improved in that aspect! Although once we stepped into our room, it was good. The room is modern and spacious and bed was comfortable with extra pillows(which I liked!) . Only complaint is the bathroom which was in need of repair- toilet smelled & didn't flush well, the door hinges were loose and the shower pressure was really low. Also, the pool was clean enough but nothing great. Construction was being done outside of the pool area so wasn't good timing for us. The lounge chairs and other outdoor structures are old and need to be updated. The restaurant at the hotel had great food though and excellent service. So overall, it wasn't the greatest but satisfactory & pleasing for a 2-night stay!

Weekend Getaway

Pros: The cleanliness of the room (white sheets) and the view from our balcony (pool and mountain side)
Cons: Upon exiting the 4th floor elevator, the surrounding walls appeared to be not cared for (bad impression of what hotel room was going to look like.
Location: Walking during the evening hours
Girlfriend and I arrived earlier then expected and there were no issues with the staff allowing us to check in early (she was very friendly). We also received complimentary drinks The Hotel is close to the strip and it was just a short walk over. The breakfast bar was the best! The service was excellent and the staff went as far as making my girlfriend something that was not even on the menu (she has s different type diet). I especially enjoyed the coffee. Very enjoyable! The staff at the hotel were overall wonderful and we will be definitely be coming back. Thank you for a relaxing weekend!

Nice but not perfect

We had a good time and the staff was very nice. There was a parking garage being built right outside our window. Our bathroom door would get stuck. Also the bathtub nozzle constantly leaked. TVs played super dark non HD channels on a HD TV (super annoying).

An excellent experience!

I just got back from Palm Springs, and enjoyed a fantastic week's stay at the Hyatt! The hotel is beautifully designed--very modern and elegant, and during my stay, work was still being done to promote that. Attention to detail was quite impressive, and the staff really worked hard to ensure that guests were attended to (answering questions, and giving recommendations for entertainment and activities). The rooms were spacious and well-appointed, and I even asked about a microwave, and had one delivered within minutes! That was really a treat, as I didn't know we had that option :-) It is always nice when impressions stay with you, and I must mention that I received the best customer care from Esther ( I was lucky enough to be greeted by her upon check-in, and if you're lucky, you will too!) Such a vibrant presence, and just a model of patience and professional decorum even when faced with very daunting queues ( a true testament to this hotel's popularity!) She should be an Ambassador prototype for the Hospitality industry! Kudos to the Hyatt Palm Springs for putting their best at the front lines! This will definitely be my go-to destination whenever I get back to Palm Springs!

Not as good as it looks

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet
Cons: Noisy, worn out dirty
The suite was big and the bed was good. But that was all. First observation: no minibar. For a hotel like that, one would expect it. The bathtub had hairs in it. The water was not draining, small wonder the room service was not able to clean it properly. The premises had a worn-out look. The balcony was supposed to be facing the mountains and it was. Too bad noone mentioned there was a street with garbage trucks running all morning, right under that balcony. The noise and the smell woke us up at 6 am. I am not sure what kind of an idea it is to sell an upscale suite with delivery alley view. That noise was more annoying than the view was nice.

Very nice, large suite/room, great location

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, large rooms, nice pool area, two flat screens
Cons: Noisy
Very nice hotel; although the public areas were somewhat stark (neo-mausoleum-moderne), the suite-style room was VERY nice and large - almost like having adjoining rooms; included fridge, coffee maker, two flat screens, large usable work space with multiple outlets in lighting fixture was very convenient. The bed was a little too soft for my liking; and it was pretty noisy at the end of the hotel where our room was, with the pool on one side and the outdoor cafe/bar on the other side; this got kind of bothersome late in the evening when the music was still blaring. Pool area was pleasant with many lounge chairs, umbrellas, bar service. Walking distance to everything in downtown. Overall a great stay, would go back.
