The breakfast was typical hotel breakfast. Opryland is perhaps most famous for being home to the Grand Ole Opry, which has seen classic country legends such as Patsy Cline, Roy Acuff, and Hank Williams take the stage. The nearly century-old music hall is an institution in Nashville, so be sure to get tickets to see one of these once-in-a-lifetime music performances. Afterwards hit the Gaylord Opryland Resort, where you can sample delicious Nashville fine dining, or even take a ride on the General Jackson Showboat to see the Nashville skyline. There are many hotels near Opryland, so you'll be right near all these fun sights.
When you've finished exploring Opryland, you're just a stone's throw from Nashville, where you can visit the renowned Ryman Auditorium (aka "the Mother Church of Country Music") or the Country Music Hall of Fame. Vacationers who are more interested in history than harmony should enjoy the Belle Meade Plantation, which recreates a classic Southern plantation, as well as Fort Negley, a partially reconstructed Civil War-era fortification.
