The resort was very nice and well kept. The service was great and a nice variety of places for lunch. Food at all restaurants was very good. One complaint would be the teen activities. The teen club closed at 8:00 and the only other place with activities kicked teens out at 8:00. The teen club had limited activities when it was open. During the day it was not a big deal as the pools were great but during the evening teens had no teen activities. Overall great place and would recommend.

The resort was very nicely landscaped and the staff were friendly. The food at both the buffets and restaurants were very good. Having privileges at the other resorts was very nice and added to the experience. The one thing we did not understand and made no sense for a family resort was no place for teens to hang out after 8:00pm. The teen club closed and the other place that had pool and foosball kicked teens out after 8:00pm.

This was our first time staying at this resort and we were very impressed. The food and restaurant options were fantastic—even the buffet had a great selection. The resort itself is beautiful with plenty of activities to enjoy every day. We especially loved being able to visit the other sister resorts and use their amenities, which was great when we wanted a quieter atmosphere. One thing we didn’t love was the lack of enforcement around chair saving. Guests would reserve chairs before 7 a.m. and not return until 10, leaving no availability for those who came later. It would be nice if the one-hour policy was better enforced. We visited during a cooler time in Riviera Maya (April), so the weather was less humid—but that also meant the pool water was quite cold. The family Jacuzzi was slightly warmer than the pool but still not hot enough to feel like a proper Jacuzzi. The one at Ventus Ha was much better in that regard. Parillada was a highlight—such a great outdoor space with entertainment, which is always best when the weather is nice. We purchased the Platinum package, which was a nice upgrade. However, it would be more convenient if Platinum-level drinks were available outside of the lounge/lobby area. Having to walk back to the lobby and stay there to enjoy them felt limiting. Room service wait is too long. Towels have limits, and it’s a hassle to get them. Booking a restaurant is “full” and we had to eat in buffets everyday. When we upgraded our room, they said that it was queen sized beds, but it was a full size bed. WiFi only has 2 devices before you pay $60 and it’s slow. If I’m going to pay $60 extra for another line, I expect it to be fast.

The food was absolutely awful. Near impossible to get a reservation at any of the restaurants unless you wanted to eat at 5:00 or 9:30. Wifi is only for 2 guests, and it was very slow and intermittent. Not much to do at night. Pool and rooms were fine. Service was great. Wouldn’t go back.

It was our 5th time in Cancun, and every time to different resorts and I can tell that Marina El CID was the best resort , incredibly clean inside and outside, I liked that they have different variety of food and buffets to chose from ,and the food it’s good quality and super delicious,the service was very nice, every one so nice and constantly was asking me if I need anything, the shows at night super fun, this resort was beyond our own expectations and it was the first time that we said we want to come back again, I highly recommend this resort, you won’t regret it!

We loved Marina El Cid. We come to the Cancun area every year with our neighbors. We like to walk on the beach but not swim in the ocean. If big waves is your thing, this is not your place. We loved having access to so many restaurants and the other resorts. The entertainment was ok but we’re not late night people so that was not a problem for us. The food was very good. The buffets were smaller than other buffets we’ve been to but good. The pool area was huge! It was slightly quieter but still had activities. We had a great time and will definitely go back.

This is a beautiful property and the food is really good at most of the restaurants. Only down side was Rene who was very rude and pushy when it came to the time share presentation that every resort tries to get you to attend.
