Very relaxing

Pros: Convenience, clean and friendly staff
Cons: nothing
Location: Great location. Recommend Egg's and thins down the street for breakfast, get there early, it gets busy.
Great Hotel, recommend getting beach view, worth the money. Everything you need is at the hotel, shopping stores all on lower level, everything in Hi is really pricey, so make sure you have extra cash available or a credit card. Parking garage is across the street from hotel, they charge 30 dollars a day for parking. Rent from the airport if you need a vehicle, you can rent at the hotel but it's pricey and you might have to make reservations to get one. You can take the public bus from the airport for a few bucks, it's about a 30 min bus drive or a cab which is a 10 min drive for 45 bucks and a shuttle for 16 bucks per person. No real down falls besides traffic if your trying to travel to other side of Island, avoid rush hour like you would in every city.

Spring Break to Waikiki Beach...

Pros: The relaxed atmosphere, and the convenience of all the shopping stores that are available to the visitors.
Cons: Nothing that I could think of. Perfectly satisfied with the accommodations.
Location: The beach was just across the street from the hotel, and most of the activities along the beach were held in that area.
Our family's experience at the Hyatt Regency could not have better. The staff looked after our needs without hesitation. Just an excellent experience.

Spring Vacation

Pros: The staff from the front desk, housekeeping and pool staff were great and helpful. Rooms were clean and as advertised. typical shower amenities
Cons: Better signage for exits. Tried taking the stairs, but there is no good way to do that, one fire staircase led to locked doors. (Fire hazard?)
Location: beach across the street, easy access to public transportation, ZOO and Diamond Head very close, plenty of shopping and restaurant choices
We spent a week at the Hyatt Regency in Waikiki. We chose it specifically because we wanted a variety of activities and it's centralized location, knowing it was more touristy than other Hawaiian locations. Specifically for the hotel: The lobby and throughout a lot the public space was under renovation. You have scaffolding and crew working all day and parts of the evening. From the looks of things, once they are complete, the hotel will look pretty nice. It was just a bit annoying to have to walk around the construction to avoid breathing in the spackling dust. The other negative was the ability to go from floor to floor. (ie. hotel room on the normal floors,Laundry room on 4th floor, Pool on 3rd floor, Lobby on 2nd floor and take an escalator from Lobby to street level). The elevators are very packed and There are escalators to go between street up to 3rd floor, but they were no operational due to renovations. This made waiting for the elevators to go one floor very annoying.

We are working to improve the speed and efficiency of the cabs and I regret that they caused any disruption to your stay. I am specifically concerned with your comment regarding the signage and have shared your review with our managers who will review and address your concerns. Thank you again for sharing your review. Great hotel in a great location.

Pros: Location, price, quality of the room and room furnishings.
Cons: The single chair available for the desk area was a terrible fit for the desk.
Location: This hotel is in the absolute center of what I consider to be the Waikiki area.
Stayed 3 nights on the 29th floor in a room looking directly over Waikiki and had nothing but spectacular views every morning, afternoon, and evening. I had to pay a little extra to get the direct ocean view, but it was worth it! The room itself was unusually spacious which really allowed me and my partner to spread out our stuff and never feel cramped. I also used the room for some work-related activities and found more than ample power outlets in the room and desk area. The room's WiFi was strong and consistent for the entire stay which was also a pleasure. I hope to stay at this hotel again!

Excellent view and accommodations

Pros: We loved the setup; check-in and check-out were a breeze. Hotel is situated to many restaurants and is so close to the shops. We loved our room.
Cons: We can't think of one thing that could be improved.
Location: We were situated near many restaurants and shopping centers. We could leave late at night and still get coffee, snacks, or food.
We booked this trip at the last minute with Travelocity and did not expect to be on the 38th floor with a fantastic view of the beach and the shops. The room was clean, appealing to the eyes, bed extremely comfortable, LG set was quite clear with many channels to choose from. We loved the single sofa chair facing the sky and ocean. Thanks for making our 39th wedding anniversary a joyous occasion.

Great new rooms

waikiki close to the beach right across the street. rooms recently updated but so loud. outside noise from street and even outdoor restaurant on 3rd level was enough to wake me every morning and I am a sound sleeper. request a high floor and it would be great. lobby needs to be renovated to match beautiful rooms. would think about staying again

Pros: location, Room comfort
It was great! But I Think resort fee is not reasonable. if hotel need to ask that fee, it must be optional. resotr fee to every guest is not good policy. I did not use hotel facilities.

Awesome hotel...

I was greeted by the desk clerk Tom. He made me feel so welcome and made sure I was going to love being there. I had a couple of problems with my rooms but they all made sure I was taken care of and didn't ruin my stay with them the valet guys were all very nice and helpful in getting our car or giving directions or suggestions. The bellhop Steve was a super nice and helpful man. Since I was traveling alone ... The hotel and staff gave me a warm and safe feeling to enjoy my time spent there and will definitely stay with them again.
