"This is very well done conversion of an old mill into a modern boutique hotel in the heart of Newport. The vibe is contemporary accomodations vs. the traditional small rooms of converted homes typically found in the immediate area. The suites are well designed and very spacious, and the beds very comfortable. The breakfast choices are European style, and delivered in a bag outside your door- there's no traditional breakfast room. There is a rooftop lounging area which presumably affords views of the harbor (but we didn't not experience.) Very convenient to Thames Street pubs and restaurants, the included parking is a very big plus. As for negatives, the wifi often dropped connections, making it very difficult to stream. The sofa pillows smelled a little musty, and one of the split-ac units was a little whiny. Also, the bathroom was a bit on the small size, contrary to the rest of the suite. Overall, however, it was a very pleasant stay at a hotel with very congenial staff."
